What? That was a great pitched game on both sides, amazing game pitched by a Rookie in what really was a do or die situation, lots of intrigue on who will pitch today's games. It's crazy how much better the game within the game it is with no DH,real baseball. Very surprised you thought it wasn't a game to remember.
Not only not a great game but now a meaningless footnote in this WS. People have already forgotten about it.

It has to be #6. Smoltz had a great line the other night when he stuck with Buehler saying that he was passing "the eye test" and that's why he was still in the game.
I realize that the lefty/ lefty and vice a versa match ups but how come all of a sudden a lefty pitcher can't get out a righty batter? Analytics are a crutch, not a tool.
Some interesting notes on the 18 inning game. 18 innings of a one run game in a NL park and there was a grand total of one sacrifice.
The game time for that game was 7 hours and 20 minutes. The 4 game sweep of the Reds by the Yankees in the 1939 Fall Classic totaled 7 hours and 5 minutes. That was the CUMULATIVE time for the four games.
I love baseball but it's just turned into HR Derby at the MLB level. People say the game has changed. That doesn't mean I have to like it.
Pitchers take all day to throw it.
It ain’t the hitters, how minor league pitching coaches don’t teach rhythm is beyond me

Not according to the latest LA survey and fan poll...you can look it up brg.

I have no clue, all I know was Dodger Stadium was a fabulous place to play, and next to Wrigley, the best environment I ever played in.
I love it when you have 8 million bozos (including me) posting and one guy can say, "Dodger Stadium was...the best environment I ever played in." Outta the park, Zap.

Watching the Red Sox, it amazed me how tight of a bunch these guys are. The team chemistry that this team has was insanely powerful. For those that wonder why chemistry in the clubhouse etc is so important, check out this squad. Was also so impressed with many ex Red Sox players saying this was the best Red Sox club ever - for which even David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez echoed. And Alex Cora was just the perfect manager for this club.

When I worked in Trenton I had the chance to speak to Mookie Betts more than once. Without a doubt he was the nicest, most genuine guy of any visiting player. A close second was Michael Fulmer who is with the Tigers now.

Betts seems like such a nice genuine kid. Same with Jackie Bradley. Entire Red Sox team seems like very nice but damn competitive guys

Let’s discuss taking out a pitcher who’s rolling.
1) You’re saving him for his next start
2) You’re protecting his arm
3) You’re protecting the clubs monetary investment
4) Analytics show a dominating performance doesn’t translate to the last two innings???
5) You believe in your bullpen (in the condition it’s in this particular day)
6) Manager can’t fathom watching his pitcher throw a complete game where he makes no moves and feels like he had nothing to do with the win
Which was it last night?

None of the above! The actual explanation is amazing...Rich Hill actually took himself out by handing the ball to Roberts before the manager could talk to him
