R.I.P. Jellyman (Sanford Cohen), you will be missed .
If there ever is a HOF for RU message board posters:
Jelly deserves to be voted in on the first ballot. Maybe an automatic spot reserved for him and be inducted the moment that HOF is started.

RIP to jellyman and the others mentioned. Will be missed.

Didn't realize about derleider and JPhoboken. I'm under the impression that both of them were young too (<50) but don't know for sure.

Aw man, I kind of thought it was odd for such a die hard fan as him to go completely radio silent as of late. His posts were epic both figuratively and literally.

I don’t think derleider’s passing is confirmed, at least not to my knowledge.

But yeah — jelly, brodo, hern, JPHoboken, CalRU....it’s a real bummer. Hope those and any others Rest In Peace.

Always curious about oldman87 too....he’s an all time great. He took a break from the boards, came back temporarily, but haven’t seen him in awhile. Hope all is well.

Similarly LPC (or something like that)?

LCP. I think he was briefly back on the hoops board a couple/few years ago after a longer absence but didn't appear to stick around long. I could be wrong if he has since popped up here and there and I missed it.

rufan4life made a brief return when Pikiell was hired. He was so into hoops...hence the name but simply walked away from it all.

Sometimes you just have enough of RU. As for derleider, I thought he just changed his username?

Rip to all mentioned

Would it make sense to have an in memoriam Thread of those no longer with us?

Brodo??? No way!

His name was Brendan and I met him on Thursday, Nov 9, 2006. I had an extra ticket and responded to his post on the ticket exchange. He offered to pay, but I gave it to him for free as a thank you for all the video highlights he posted. We yelled and screamed all night. When it came time to storm the field, he declined as he wanted to soak it up from section 206.

RIP Brendan!

RIP Jelly! I loved your intelligent, persuasive posts and your passion for RU football. I still don't know the difference between "scheme" and style...but loved the discourse you created.

I know he was controversial on a bunch of boards but Triple R disappeared as well. Last i heard he was pretty sick in Florida
I fear we've lost Rich as well. Last time I talked with him was Sept. 2016, I used to check in with him every couple of months. At the time he'd have some very serious health issues over the summer. I never heard from him again after that.

I feel like Rolf's was one of--if not "the"--first member deaths that got broad memorializations on the board. Def a first ballot HOFer.

Jelly was Highland Park royalty. His brother was Mayor Rendell's press secretary in Philly and VP at Comcast. Two absolutely brilliant men. Jelly could break it all down like no other.:Sad:
I work for Comcast. Are you saying Jelly was David Cohens brother ? David is not jut a Comcast VP, he is one of the top 4 or 5 executives at the company and basically solely responsible for government affairs and lobbying which is no small job at our company. Just announced his retirement. I wonder if that’s linked to his brother and his premature death.

Wow

I just figured most of these guys left with the board split...was just wondering if that board was more robust with those guys still posting but didn’t check...

it makes me appreciate how long I’ve been following Rutgers, the hours I’ve spent smiling at their success (not to mention the months of frustration).

I didn’t attend Rutgers and left NJ long ago but I still have enough “FU - I’m from Jersey” in me to Stay focused on my home state.

My condolences to these guys and their families.
