didn’t know he passed. Thought he went to the other board in the split a few years ago.

jelly was one of the great posters on this board back in the day. A legend.
Word was that people in the athletic program and coaching staff would actually read his posts on ithe basketball board because they found a ton of insight in it and wanted to meet him.

guy was a true gem. And we were lucky to have him on the boards

Jellymans real name was Sanford Cohen. I knew Sandy quite well as we played Rotis baseball for many years in a league. I had quit the league several years ago and had no idea on Sandy’s passing. I just googled it and he unfortunately passed away in April after a long illness at 60. Way too young and such a nice guy. RIP.

Guys - Jelly and I use to ebail all the time and, while he never revealed his actual condition, he had made it known to me it was a “matter of time.”

Was very upset when John O and I pieced together, a few weeks ago, that he had passed.

Apparently this happened in April? This is a tremendous loss for the community. Jellyman was part of the Mt Rushmore of posters for more than a decade on the boards. His passion and thought out written pieces will never be replaced on both the hoops and football boards. Even before the board split i did notice a drop off in his postings. Rutgers lost a true knight. RIP to Jelly and belated condolances to his family and close friends from the Rutgers community

Thanks to you and Nuts for the additional info. He will be missed.

Jellyman passed away in April: he was 60. More sad news, for those of you who remember Brodo, he passed away last year too at the age of 53. It was truly sad when we pieced this together about both of them.

Omg this is terrible news. RIP. I hadn't noticed. His link to videos were always so memorable. Remember we also lost JPHoboken a few years back

Sandy was a huge Rutgers fan and SF Giants fan. Another guy got me into the league and during my first draft somehow the discussion migrated to college basketball and I said how a big Rutgers fan I was. Then he blew me away asking me if I posted on the boards as he told me he was Jellyman and we became friends ever since.

Sandy lived in NYC and would come to the RAC for several games with his Dad

I am so sad to hear this news and will contact some of the guys from the league

RIP to not only a huge RU fan but also as nice as a guy can be.

Such a shame for his wife, kids and Dad who I met several times

Did not know that JPHoboken had passed. Had wondered what happened to him.

I know he was controversial on a bunch of boards but Triple R disappeared as well. Last i heard he was pretty sick in Florida
