Washington Featherheads might work. They would not have to change a thing.

Synder must have saw the big bucks he's about to make to cave so quickly. Thank God my team's named after a mythical beast.

yup - follow the money -- always follow the money.

he realized he won't get a new stadium in DC w/out it............ A retractable roof on a stadium in DC... it will increase the value of the franchise by a $1billion....... (see Jerry's world and new LA stadium).....

plus all the $$$$ for new gear people will buy.

This only bothers pussies??? I'm no bleeding heart liberal but man we treated native Americans like shite. How about teams called the new York kikes, Chicago guineas, Boston Mics or Cleveland Pollocks.
Would only pussies be against that?
Grow a spine ! If the people in those towns want that I don't care. Boston Mics? That's pretty funny . We already have ND Fighting Irish and as someone with one hell of alot of Irish heritage I have never lost any sleep over it! Now go back under your bed a virus is looking for you .

As a fellow Irishman, I've got enough of a spine to point out what's wrong. It's not just the people of Washington with a native American population of.0003 native Americans it's those living on reservations with no running water, healthcare or education. Because we took over the land they lived on for 10,000 years not a couple hundred but 10,000 years. So I'll work on my spine while you work on growing a brain. Deal?

They had no running water, healthcare or education before either.
They live now exactly like they used to

Red tail is a type of hawk. It's the most common hawk in America and a pretty cool one to boot. It would make a fine name.

Montclair St. used to be the Indians, now the Red Hawks. Back in 1978 when their women's BB team was in the Final Four they had tee shirts that said"Scare 'em Squaws".
Oh the good old pre-PC days.

Thank God my team is named after a mythical football team
J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!
It ain't been no picnic being a Big Blue fan lately either. Living off of yesteryear is starting to lose it's luster. Couple them with our dear ole' Rutgers and I'd like to start counting wins on more than one hand.

Nicknames often are meant to honor someone, people, or thing, that get a positive reaction. Look at Notre Dame, with “Fighting Irish”. I’m sure it is a reason, why they have a large national following.

That's RACIST and has to change. #CANCELHARVARD #CANCELPRINCETON #CANCELRUTGERS

I've been pointing this out for a while. The Redskins, Cleveland Indians, hell every team would make Billions selling new jerseys and crap to fans if they change their names.

Just call them the Baboons
A popular meme contains a picture with several baboons playing in the snow captioned: "Did you know that a large group of baboons is called a Congress?"
The meme might be untrue, but still would represent the way members of the HOR and Senate act at times and be a great name.

LOL. That's almost actually racist. LOLOL

Beaced Actually red tails probably think football is for pussies. If you ever saw one swoop down on a squirrel almost kill it with it's razor sharp talons then finish the job by using it's beak to rip open the spinal cord you'd know what I mean LOL

The "Indians" are not monolithic. They were many warring tribes who killed and enslaved each other and stole each others land and murdered off whole tribes when useful throughout history. The tribes that lost to the US stole the land from earlier tribes in thousands of years of bloody battles. They were not a monolithic entity that lived there for 10,000 years. They were warring nomads who never invented the wheel. While their lives are not great now they are infinitely better than they were 500 years ago.

Well I'm glad their lives are better than 500 years ago. We can all sleep better. Can't believe those losers didn't invent the wheel. Now I think we should kick them off their lush accommodations on the reservation. Slackers. Thanks for changing my mind professor

Why is it always Washington.

Remember the Bullets?

Gun violence stopped in DC after the name change.

Capitals and Nationals, the mob may be coming for you soon
