Post game arrests:

Philly: 4
Boston: 7

Not including the breaking and entering and robbery of Gronkowsi's house.

I'll be there first to say there will be (and should be) more arrests coming in Philly but all in all it wasn't as bad as it could have been, or has been in other cities.

Good job by BAC reporting fake Twitter events as true though.

In fairness, the only way you can watch the post-game videos out of Philly and reconcile that with 4 total arrests is to assume that the cops just weren't interested in arresting anyone.

Or, they were 15 isolated incidents from a crowd of 100k and they can't be everywhere at once .

I was watching the streaming on 6ABC and I didn't see anything illegal other than idiots on light poles, idiots on R-C awning and fireworks. I'd guess that no city is arresting for that stuff on a night like that.

There was also a car on its side - I'm guessing those guys just got away with it.

All in all - knowing all too well the City's reputation. We (they) did pretty good.

That crowd was way over 100K total. And there were different crowds at different places. City Hall, the Art Museum and there's another traditional gathering place that I can't remember the intersection of. All looked like NYC on NYE.

Maybe if you were actually there like some of us instead of your basement listening to scanners and posting fake twitter news you would realize it wasn't that bad.

Seriously give it up.

Yea I'm at a loss for words on that one. I guess that makes up for the horses that got punched?

Oh geeze...lol...seriously though I hope this moron went directly to the ER yesterday and got antibiotics specific for bacterial diseases that stem from feces. No bueno!

Simply untrue. It wasn't chaotic at all. Again, I was there and saw zero crime other than a few folks on poles. A very small number of isolated incidents.

Yeah I think that's a pretty "fair" assessment lol! I mean com'on now literally EVERY person breaking an awning, pulling down a street sign, or flipping a ar, SHOULD have been arrested.

I'm betting he just went home, passed out and woke up with one eybrow, a dick drawn on his forehead and a bad taste in his mouth.

drawn? well.. okay..

on a serious note though.. it is the deflection and minimizing of rioting that is the issue here.

why can't you find one Philly fan who says they are embarrassed by this behavior? Its not like this is the only time they went nuts.. they are just proud of this rep for violence while also not wanting to be called out for participating in it or encouraging it or tolerating it. And that makes them all asshats.

I'm a Philly sports fan embarrassed by all of this. There's an element that believes it has a reputation to uphold and surpass. That isn't going away anytime soon

Even one store front window broken, looting in stores, car over turned, awning broken, poles taken down is one too many. OK....that's like saying in a mass shooting well considering how many people there were just 5 dying is not that bad. They were vandals. Park your car at the RAC someday and come out and see it overturned and see how you feel. sheesh

Agreed, that does seem to be part of the psychology of that group, fueled by a mob mentality and sense of invincibility and/or anonymity in numbers.

Very true.
But implying the celebration turned into WW3 and those actions were common place throughout the night in Philly was not true, that was the wrong thing to do.

Cottmon and Frankford. No media coverage of the celebration because nothing bad happened. Go figure.

Repeating again, clearly there was some dumb **** going on, isolated dumbasses. Point is: happens everywhere. And with huge crowds well into six figures odds are that some folks will misbehave.

If its ok to charge BLM and Antifa folks at inauguration with felony riot charges then the same should be happening to the folks causing mayhem in Philly or at any other large gathering.

I'm honestly not sure what to be embarrassed by when half of the incidents called out in this thread as real were fake posts from Twitter trolls.

Still waiting for @bac2therac to update his posts as fake. There were at least 5 that I counted on page 1 of this thread.

I think it's more that Philly fans feel that they are being singled out for behavior that is found in all fan bases. I'll concede they may be SLIGHTLY more troublesome than average but really every fan base does stupid violent **** from time to time. But because they threw snowball at santa the brain dead media who can't be bothered to find a new story after 40 years just keep focusing the light on misbehavior in Philly. Opposing fans jump on board and the stage is set for this conflict.

I for one am not proud of nor do I support the violence or rioting from any fanbase. But I also think that going to a parade for winning a championship is silly. Folks need to get a life on both sides.
