Be careful what y

I think you and Bac should have gone to bed earlier. Anyone who needs to listen to scanners for their jobs knows not to post a play by play because the reports are fluid and constantly changing. I could have turned on a scanner after any big win in any city and come up with the same crap. Anyway, credible reports this morning are stating that it was generally peaceful. Some problems, yes, but not the utter mayhem peddled here. Have a nice day guys and congrats Eagles!

Don't worry about when I "go to bed." I wasn't listening to the scanners, anyway, just watching what BAC was posting. Thanks Pete.

Yeah, because looting a store makes such a powerful statement against injustice. How about they are criminals wearing masks so as not to be identified while looting?
that doesn't go well when you're promoting a political agenda.

I found this article that leaves politics out ( probably a bummer for some) and tries to get to the root of why things like this happen after a big sporting event.
Why do fans riot after a win? The science behind Philadelphia's Super Bowl chaos.

I'm quite sure there were these isolated incidents, and nowadays everything gets captured and posted and shared immediately as opposed to even several years ago. But funny, I was at Broad and Walnut last night for about an hour after the game and everything was very cool and fun. Yes, one guy climbed up on a pole. But it was a chill crowd, chanting "E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!" "BIG DICK NICK" and singing "FLY EAGLES FLY."

GO BIRDS!!!

AWESOME NIGHT!!!!

No one is saying that or condoning it. Not sure what you and others are trying to prove by starting thread after thread on this. The vast majority of Eagles fans are good. The NFL is not going to take the trophy back because you post some scanner clips. Congrats to the many good Eagle fans out there and hopefully the morons who ruin it for everyone will stay home and sleep it off in the future.

Considering this was the first Super Bowl ever and there were over 100K people out celebrating it wasn't that bad in comparison to past riots in Detroit, Chicago and Vancouver.

You know riots where cops got injured, people stabbed and killed and there were hundreds of arrests and millions in damage.

I'm not condoning the behavior at all but i actually thought it would have been worse. I walked about 5 miles through the city for a couple hours and the worst I saw were people standing on things that they shouldn't have been on and shooting off fireworks.

This thread with your play by play of the police scanner was stupid and pretty sad that you were up past 2am doing it.

If the point is that a few morons, an insignificant percentage of the tens of thousands maybe even 100k out there, can make things look worse than they really are, you’re right.

It has been two weeks of this and there have been several threads. If you like scanner surfing try the NB scanner on homecoming weekend.

Or Rutgersfest.

O wait that was canceled in 2011 because there were 3 shootings in the span of a couple blocks and hours on campus.

Those shootings had absolutely nothing to do with the university per, se, as they were committed by non-students. In fact, if memory serves, the perps weren't even from New Brunswick.

@bac2therac so which of this stuff that you reported actually happened?

- Someone ran over a PA Trooper by a 4 wheeler and on the loose
- Police horse stolen and being ridden around
- Guy dead after climbing and falling from a poll
- Firetruck stolen and rammed through Macys
- Someone shot

LOL pretty sure this was all fake. Next time lay off Twitter and the Scanner.

I think you are correct on that. I was mainly referring to the other issues that typically surface on a weekend. The reality is that when school is in session, the population doubles and stuff is going to happen. That's why it's not a good idea for folks to make sweeping generalizations.

Aww, butthurt again?

Dude, you are seriously the biggest ***** to ever haunt this board.

You have a weird obsession with quoting me.

I forgot I told myself I was done communicating with you after you made it clear you're uncomfortable with college wrestlers in onesies.

For the record, I never said I was uncomfortable with college wrestlers in onesies. I just wanted to make it clear that it didn't turn me on, the way it turns you on.

Keep 'em coming, you're a riot.

the 4 wheeler thing was true because it was called in and then about 30-45 minutes later they had identified that 4 wheeler at a location and were talking about catching it

I didn't see any confirmed reports related to a Trooper getting ran over by a 4 wheeler.

So that makes 4 and 1/2 of those 5 incidents you reported on page 1 of this thread as #FakeNews.

also a live reporter from Fox 29 was rushed by out of control drunk people on live tv creating a dangerous situation.

and this...wtf who trashes their own neighborhood

I was there for a few hours. It was nearly as bad as what some biased people put on social media. It was really fun and friendly. But yes, there’s always a few people who are out of hand.

Dude I'm talking about the 5 ridiculous things that you claimed happen which were fake news you pulled off Twitter. It's 2018 you should know better.

I didn't comment on the videos because of course they're real. Nor am I condoning any type of destruction or criminal acts that took place. Again, it's 2018 so every damn person is a walking video camera and nothing goes unrecorded.

This thread is actually pathetic though because of how much fake **** you posted about which clearly didn't happen.

Again, what happen last night in Philly after the 1st ever Super Bowl pales in comparison to past riots in Detroit, Chicago and Vancouver.

Do yourself a favor and go listen to the old tapes of those police scanners tonight. You might hear about real events like police injuries, stabbings, fatalities and millions and millions in damages.

Prove it. That would be making national news dude.

You should also go back to each post and label each incident that was BS as FAKE.

This thread spiraled out of control all thanks to you and your Fake news.

Really? I would be pissed if I owned a store and there was an actual food fight going on inside. How about those fools who were on the awning that collapsed? Who is going to pay for that? Flipping over a car and people high fiving while doing it? People yelling free **** while breaking store front windows? yea... this seems like fun. And your comeback is ...oh well not as bad as some cities.

My comeback is yes: there are always a few ******** everywhere. And that there’s a weird fascination with Philly when it comes to this, more so than other places.

When it happens elsewhere, folks say “look at those ********.” When it happens in Philly, folks say “typical Philly.” That’s my only issue. Because we all know there are plenty of horses asses who do dumb **** in Jersey and NY, Boston and Chicago, Denver and Pittsburgh, Dallas and Seattle.

I wonder what the reaction from the community and PD would be if all the flipping, breaking, and high fiving were done by non- Eagles fans? But it's ok since this is historic?
