Ray didn’t murder that guy man. Blood would have been on the mink. It’s a fun theory but he didn’t kill anyone. You know who did though? While not in the Hall Ray’s teammate who was allowed to continue playing after he actually did kill someone and was convicted for it…

I'm dubious of the Rickey Henderson allegation. The sister said it was a repressed memory & apparently the Civil case was dropped. Rickey strongly denied the allegations and counter sued her for Defamation as being an Extortion attempt. So not really buying it.

Actually a witness claimed Lewis was part of the fight, but recanted his testimony and the prosecutor withheld that fact from the defense , discrediting the prosecution's case.

Jackson, as far as I have seen, was never actually proven to be in on the fix. A good attorney today would have gotten that dropped.
Rose could have admitted what he did and gotten some kind of absolution by the league. But, his arrogance was what did him in.

I'm just wondering why. What precisely is your reasoning not to put him in the hall of fame? The gambling?
Myself- Since all sports have now prioritized gambling over just about everything else- his gambling should never be an issue anymore. Also- part of his ban(which he agreed to) included the ability to appeal it each year. So, having it lifted now, is the same as winning an appeal. so, it should make him eligible.
I also think this never would have been lifted if MLB didn't make more money because of gambling than anything else. And, the fear that one day, we find out the reality of S.O.
Pete was also just a scum of the earth. Underaged girls and such.
But, he was always a good interview and the media always had good stories to run on him...So, he doesn't get the Albert Belle treatment.
So, for what he did on the baseball field, he now deserves to be in the HOF.
