I was 10 in '84 and remember seeing "You Might Think" on Friday Night Videos and thinking Ocasek was a weird dude. Then... he married Paulina Porizkova and my buddies and I experienced our first true WTF? moment.

Yeah, they weren’t great on stage, but their finished albums, especially the first three, were quite good.
