This is really sad and makes me think of a distant friend that discovered he had a terminal cancer and instead of going all the treatments, bills, family stress, etc that comes along with going thru that process, he took his own life. Maybe Claude encountered something like that?

Honestly I get it if that's what happened. Sorry about your friend

Claude Lemieux was a talented, but very dirty hockey player. He was also a chatte.

Let’s revisit the history of Claude.

I won’t use YouTube as a source of videos because it now requires visitors to sign in.👎

Let’s rely on images. This one is after he cross-checked Kris Draper into the boards. Kris broke his jaw and lost a bunch of teeth

Now let’s revisit the next season when he was challenged to fight by Darren McCarty

Instead of being a real man and defending himself, he purposely turtled.

Adieu chatte.

I loved Shanahan hammering Roy in mid-air as Roy came out to get McCarty.

That footage never gets old

CTE is a major risk factor for suicide in retired athletes. Hockey players take a lot of head shots in their careers and he had multiple known concussions.......

A lot of the players are in multiple high risk groups. Career problems, relationship problems, money problems, health problems and drugs/pain killers.

Any players kill themselves while they were still making big money?

Loss of identity defining role is a major risk factor for men as well. Not just the money but the ego defining status their “professional” role gives them. Plus loss of money.

speaking ill of the departed says more about the speaker than it does about the departed
