Shocking as he was the torch bearer for the Canadiens game a few days ago!
This is really sad and makes me think of a distant friend that discovered he had a terminal cancer and instead of going all the treatments, bills, family stress, etc that comes along with going thru that process, he took his own life. Maybe Claude encountered something like that?
This is even sadder news
Honestly I get it if that's what happened. Sorry about your friendThis is really sad and makes me think of a distant friend that discovered he had a terminal cancer and instead of going all the treatments, bills, family stress, etc that comes along with going thru that process, he took his own life. I loved Shanahan hammering Roy in mid-air as Roy came out to get McCarty.Claude Lemieux was a talented, but very dirty hockey player. He was also a chatte.
Let’s revisit the history of Claude.

Let’s rely on images. This one is after he cross-checked Kris Draper into the boards. Kris broke his jaw and lost a bunch of teeth

Now let’s revisit the next season when he was challenged to fight by Darren McCarty
Instead of being a real man and defending himself, he purposely turtled.

Adieu chatte.
CTE is a major risk factor for suicide in retired athletes. Hockey players take a lot of head shots in their careers and he had multiple known concussions.......

Loss of identity defining role is a major risk factor for men as well. Not just the money but the ego defining status their “professional” role gives them. Plus loss of money.A lot of the players are in multiple high risk groups. Career problems, relationship problems, money problems, health problems and drugs/pain killers.
Any players kill themselves while they were still making big money?
speaking ill of the departed says more about the speaker than it does about the departedClaude Lemieux was a talented, but very dirty hockey player. He was also a chatte.

Like or hate Lemieux he was an elite player, a winner and an agitator. A real man isn't dumb enough to fight someone that they can't beat. Being a man doesn't mean you have to be an idiot. He handled it correctly by refusing.I said he was talented![]()
