You belong to the group who thinks mob rule is good.

You’ve admitted it already.

What now? I cant keep up with all the **** that I am being told I believe/follow/belong to.
Can you list an example because without any context, it doesnt seem like mob rule is good. I dont tend to just by default side with mobs.

And this is has nothing to do with the prior baseless claim you made- that I didnt want career politicians and now we have one.

It like you are using some sort of response generator to post replies.

When did 'we 17ers say' that?
I have trouble keeping straight all the groups that posters here claim I belong to.

Career politicians can be beneficial and can be detrimental. It totally depends on the person. Same applies to 'outsiders'.

Name one instance where they are beneficial.

no doubt. There's a special place in Hell for lifelong politicians

Not only that but they should split DC up and move most of the departments out of DC and spread them through out the United States. Congress, White house, Supreme Court and Pentagon should stay in DC and everything else be moved.

I would say that based on Trump's policies, actions, and statements- he was not actually interested in draining the swamp.
He did manage to redefine what 'swamp' meant. Its actual use is to describe the problem that money has excess influence. He changed it to apply to those who were in the way of what interest groups/donors want were the issue. They became the swamp.

Azar, DeJoy, the first round of stimulus money going to projects and people that dont immediately need it(Clay Lacy, Phunware, CloudCommerce), and more than I care to type.

How is this even a debate? Look at the last 4 years and tell me how the swamp was drained. Money still buys influence and perks- perhaps even more so than before. Special interests still dominate with political power. Lobbyists are still impacting everything and are in some White House positions.

Its claimed he was trying to drain the swamp, I post a confusion gif, and Im the clueless one. Classic SPS.

Hell these folks in congress will never pass term limit legislation. Why in the world would they cut themselves out of controlling our wealth? They’ve got it made and want to keep it that way.

They are basically permanent division I football recruits. People constantly throwing money at them trying to sway their decisions.

What we need is a massive increase in the number of Congressmen. The House is supposed to be the voice of the People. We used to regularly increase its numbers after each census or territory expansion, but we have been stuck at 435 for over 100 years. In the 20s, the agricultural states feared losing their voice in the House and fought to cap the number of Representatives. The Senate is set up to address their concerns of having no voice. Let Congress expand.

Right now, the Congressman from Wyoming represents 600,000 people. A Congressman from LA represents over 1,000,000 people. This isn't fair at all. At the very least, we should have all Congressmen represent about 600,000 people, and increase the House to around 550.

But I don't think we should stop there. A congressman should not represent 600,000 people. That is too many. A Congressman should be a member of your community; someone accessible who has to directly answer to the common man. Many nations that are smaller than ours have well over 500 representatives in their equivalent to our Congress. The original intent was for a Congressman to represent 35,000 to 50,000 people.

I do not advocate for 10,000 Congressmen, but 1,000 should not be out of the question. I think around 1200 is the right number.

The expenses are manageable. Rather than construct a new meeting hall, they could all "work from home" and just rent a Convention Hall when they need to Congregate. They could even convene in various locations around the Country to even further bring the government back to the people.

Name one instance where they are beneficial.

In a new administration, having a Secretary of State that has extensive connections with other governments as a result of serving on committees in Congress could prove helpful as it pertains to foreign policy.
There- thats one instance.

Time for term limits.

Seems like I remember that in the past term limits have come up for a vote. Through some kind of procedure the vote is taken by voice vote, so each member can tell his people that he voted for it. No written record.
