Well the Covid year was arguably Greg’s best so not sure why you’re using that as an excuse.

We would if we had an exciting coach like Prime. To say otherwise shows a complete lack of faith and once again shows this “victim attitude” our fsnbsse has.
Not an excuse at all, but you are dead set on being Debbie Downer and trotting out some wacky victim narrative. Name another exciting coach like Prime and who would have come here withe the money Rutgers and it's donors were paying. The fact is, and I was very skeptical at the time, the fan base and donors were all in on Greg and nobody else. Do you remember the revolt against Hobbs when the deal collapsed? I don't think this back and forth is going anywhere. Have a nice night. I will continue to cheer for RU and not use one win to make out coach look like a failure.

As will I! Go RU!

But Colorado does??? Funds will come if we make that splash hire. Just like what happened at Colorado.

Stop with this victim attitude all RU fans seem to have. This type of thinking only hurts us
Colorado's been to about 3 times as many bowl games as RU. They've also won a National Championship. That's a lot more tradition than RU has. RU has to win a lot more than they have to approach even the relatively meager tradition Colorado has built.

Totally agree; if you have been around since the 80’s, you understand why Greg was hired back, if you graduated in the last 20, you honestly don’t know $&@&. The last 40 really tells the story; sure, there have been better coaches that we could have hired, it RU for Gods sack, but no one was doing was Prime was doing until recently, and there was no Transfer Portal until last year, so there is no comparison. We just have to play this thing out for at least one more year and hope that we at least get what we got the first time.

Definitely more than the Greg insults. Likely thousands more.

When one coach proves it takes ONE GAME to show a turnaround of a bad team….and another coach is having difficulty showing this heading onto his THIRD SEASON!! … it kinda makes that latter coach look bad.

Hope Greg proves me wrong
No you are right. People here can't admit what is plain to see. I said it early and will say again; Greg is failing here

We will find out at noon. Come out and poo the bed against the worst team in the league then Greg is just not up to the task.

If I had to predict. It will be a defensive shootout. No confidence in the offense( passing game), per usual so it’s hope for some turnovers and field goals.

Well I’d stick with what I said back then.
Sean Lewis, Briles offense guy, is the key hire for them. If he can get the offense to play well and be productive then they have a chance. At least for one game, they did. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes. Productive offense is an absolute key.

Just to add to this. I remember reading awhile back when he was hired at Jackson State one of the things he did was talk to Mike Leach who was in state at Miss State. He said I wanted to go to one of the best minds in college football. Leach recommended 3 guys that ran the system well, interviewed them along with his son (so his son was comfortable), hired one and off they went and did a nice job. Now at P5 program he has the opportunity to hire a name with a bit more gravitas and he taps someone with Briles lineage and they've done a good job through 1 game. We'll see how the rest of the season goes but I give credit that he recognizes what path has the best potential to succeed, hires to it and then let's them do their thing.

A one win team last year just became the biggest and most exciting/intriguing story in college football week 1 - they have already begun building statues to Coach Prime in Colorado!

The portal to Colorado will melt this year.
Money is pouring in
Top players already canceling their sceduled recruiting trips to go to the Nebraska game (cheapest single ticket on stub is $360 with the rest over $400.

Sanders doesn't make captains - he gives some players Ls and some Ds for their uniforms.
The Ls are for "Leader" and the Ds are for "Dawg"
Lots of players love that stuff.
I saw some TCU players taking to Sanders and looking like they wanted to switch teams right there

Maybe those TCU players saw how much Christian like TCU fans are:

Anybody else looking forward to watching Sanders crash and burn at Colorado? He just seems to be at an all time level of self-loving cockiness, even for him. I personally think he's way over his head and won't have as easy a time as he had in the SWAC.
Embarassing post @ScarletDog

You appear over your head here.

Primetime brought a lot of talent to Colorado but remember he didn't even win the hbcu bowl game with 5 star players at Jackson State.

A few games more will show if Prime will be as good as some feel he is after having his Buffs upset TCU.
Sanders coached his team to a win over a real good opponent and his Jackson State program last year was one of the best in it's division.
So don't bet against him because he might just prove he can coach , recruit and motivate his players into being a top program.
But until he gets a few games under his belt, don't bet the farm on it

I saw a clip the other day where the TCU fans hooted and howled at him half the length of the sideline to midfield. It didn't seem to bother him. He played left field in baseball.

I really don't understand all the hate for him. Is it his success? Other coaches with way more coaching success.

Does he get that sort of reception everywhere he goes? Or is it a Texas or TCU specific thing?
