If this one game is a sign, Coach may be getting better offers for P5 jobs than if he had stayed at Kent St. He did have a pretty good offense at KS so who knows.

Briles tree by way of Babers. I say it all the time, productive offense is the avenue with the most potential to outperform your status on the landscape.

I mentioned it at the start of the thread, he’s likely the key hire. If he and the team can keep it up, I think they’ll have shot to outperform expectations going into the season. I think Nebraska’s defense will be a solid test.

Don’t think he would’ve been on the hotseat at all. Last year, KSU had paycheck games against UGA, Washington and OU. He's over .500 in conference during his tenure and won the division in one of those years, something they've only done once before.

In 2 of the years he had offenses ranked 1 and 5 in total offense. It's Kent State and to be doing that at all is a pretty good accomplishment.

See what the coach before him did and what he accomplished that was rarely if ever accomplished there. It doesn't mean he's the 2nd coming but he probably reached about what was potential for Kent State.

It's only one game so we have to see but if he can keep the offense going at Colorado during his tenure, he'll get better offers higher in the G5 or in the P5.

Rick George: What you see is what you get. The man is "mad cool" and a perfect fit for Prime. Although George graduated from U. of Illinois, he's been a part of Colorado since the late 80s. Even when he was in the front office for the Texas Rangers, he was all CU Buffs. Rick George will walk the earth to get Prime, whatever he needs to succeed at CU.

After the TCU game George ran over to Prime and hugged him so hard I thouht Prime's eyes would pop out lol.

George was nearing end of contract, fans were gone and so was the money (they didn't have the money for Sanders yet).
The new president seems like a solid sports guy and he likes that Col already had a 0.5 enrollment increase for fall semester.

“We don’t know exactly why there was that swing, but I suspect (Coach Prime) has something to do with it,” Saliman said. “There’s this excitement and people want to be part of it, including students.”

As for 5 stars - Prime wants the best players but he will be picky.
Parents will love Prime but of course many of them have loyalties to LSU, Bama et al
Colorado players are so classy they hardly have tats, and they don't even do the fanny shake dances and such after a score

The sports shows with ex-pros that do football have been very emphatic that what's going on in Colorado is phenomenal.
I know other coaches have to be apprehensive about competing for the best players.

I neither hate nor love him. If it weren't for this thread, I wouldn't ever give him any thought at all. Like KS said above, I like to see people win out over the haters though. And the team is an underdog story which is fun to watch.

He does seem to be polarizing, but I think that's more about how people, nowadays, allow themselves to be easily polarized by everything and less about anything Sanders is doing.
