OT: Potential Winter Storm on 3/7-8

Coming down real fast here in Bergen county....starting to stick to the roads now at 1 pm.

For the weather folks, I've been looking at the NBC 4 radar for a while, and noticed something odd. There are some consistent "dead zones" on the radar coverage.

The overpass of George Road and Route 1 (just south of the radar) for example, consistently show no snow there, even though that doesn't seem at all feasible. The dead zone morphs and changes, but seems pretty consistent. Any reason why that might be?

Edit: Same thing over most of downtown NB.

Thundersnow was awesome! Haven't experienced that since I lived in Cleveland where it wasn't that uncommon across the shores of Lake Erie.

I thought we might be clear by three.. but radar is showing that wrap-around noreaster stuff forming up nicely.. this can be awhile yet

snowing until at least 6 but models have been consistent with tapering down around 7 from the west

I am surprised by how hard it is coming down here (Vineland/Millville area). Only switched from rain to snow very recently but we already have an inch and it is still coming down hard. I was hoping it would most miss us and we would just have rain.
