Not that it will mean much to folks, but the guy that wrote the plea, Kevin Whitmer, is an alum. Not saying what to do, because I understand it's hard to support an outfit that hires the likes of Matt Stanmyre, Ted Sherman and Josh Margolin who seem to specialize in hit pieces on the things we hold dear. Just saying, there are loyal sons, and daughters, there too.

No, I decline to support them. If they wanted support then they should have been more fair in their reporting on Rutgers issues. Instead they wrote hit pieces on Mulcahy, Rice, Pernetti, etc I could go on and on but you already know the laundry list.
F them and the Star-Ledger.

It’s not about Whitmer. It is about how all of a sudden they need Rutgers. Isn’t this the same Star Ledger/ NJ.com who for years hoped for our demise as a D1 program. Those same who wrote negative article after negative article. The reporters who relished in digging up all the dirt they could. Yeah sure let’s all donate when many thousands of our families and friends are hanging on by a thread to survive. I thought they were surviving on clicks.? Do you really believe most of them are out pounding the streets for news ? Unless you count a trip to Shop Rite as a valid work station most are where I am. Sitting or working out as best as I can under duress.

Compared to other parts of the country, the local media while covering the local college are received with more respect. A call to the public would cause a flood of support, but not here. The reason there is a difference is how the news is reported. The local media in Lincoln, NE. isn't digging for dirt just to shock people or insult their intelligence or knock local college all the time. That's not how you increase viewership and advertising. You don't have to kiss up to the public to get what you need now (help/support), but be fair and be honest. People respect that.

They're the best source for NJ news, and are probably being hit hard by the pandemic. If they go down, there will be very little NJ news.

No news is good news when it comes to nj.com and Rutgers sports. The hit pieces, scathing articles and constant rehash of past misdeeds far out weigh the positive articles. Manahan and the rest can become ditch diggers for all I care. I'm not clicking on sh*t for them.

I tried not to believe the conspiracy until EVERY article would use the worst possible
Photo to lead story. It was just so childish from everyone at paper to keep using photos of crowds that were taken late in the game.
Before you mention last 2 years attendence this was going on way before that !

Sadly it’s the only real source and I still scan thru home page for updates and open Rutgers sports section once a day. May not read article but a scan to check for any new news

:Angry“Is this new news or old news. “:Angry

For those interested in buying real estate in Louisville, guess who works at Julie Pogue Properties ?
