I’ve linked the PGA playerHandbook from a few years ago. It that version it clearly states you have to ask and receive permission to play in another tours event. Nobody is denying this and nobody is claiming they had a gun to their head when they signed on the dotted line and agreed to the rules.
Before this year tell me who was ever denied?? Stop dancing around the questions. Answer why it is OK to play on the DP Tour in Saudi Arabia but not on the LIV? Answer why nobody including Tiger who is the biggest draw on the PGA Tour to play 161 for appearance fees on the now DP Tour, never was denied but the LIV is a threat. Also when many like Phil joined the PGA the Tour was done after the PGA Championship. Now its year round. Of course you think management is broke and doesn't get extra money while the players get no official off time.

Also ask them about your math. You said 28. Ask them if it's really 15 minus 4 majors minus 3 WGC events, minus FedEx playoffs and Ryder Cup or President Cup. That is as low as 4 PGA Tour events in certain years.
Guys haven’t playing in conflicting events 5-10 times each year. There might be a one-off here and there, something like the Scottish Open the week before the British Open, events during the off-season (or fall series, which were lesser events), etc. If I’m a sponsor, I’m happy that the commish is doing something to protect the tour, rather than potentially turning my event into an afterthought.

Jack and Arnold used to travel together to make money on non PGA Tour events because you couldn't earn a living on the Tour alone. So don't spin a bunch of baloney about the PGA Tour years ago.

White there are a ton of people heckling the golfers out there. The only one I give a pass too is Louis Oost. He has never been committed to playing golf and has always wanted to play less. He likes it but doesnt love it. This gives him an avenue to still play some Male afew bucks and keep his sponsors. Phil on the other hand is just a douchebag
