Good to see Jordan Spieth playing well again, just as I type this he hits a bad drive.

16th hole is hilarious, miss a birdie putt the crowd boos you.

Edit: actually not just the 16th, booing missed birdies on other holes too.

Spieth shoots a third round 61, 18 under for the tournament. Leader in the clubhouse.

Spieth’s father played baseball at Lehigh University. Hellertown PA native.

17 is also a great par 4. Drivable green but water in play left in the landing area. Can make anything from 2-6.

Even Xander Schauffele said in is post round interview that the PGA is better when Speith is playing well. For those that didn't watch, Xander is tied with Speith and will try and beat him tomorrow so high praise.

I love this tournament. Always fun to watch even this year with a small but lively crowd. And perfect for Superbowl Sunday so you have something to watch besides the boring pre game crap. Really looking forward to tomorrow's final.

He's not Ricky,,, I'll say 75.
Those demons are tough to overcome
Actually Ricky rose up to win the TPC the week the poll among his peers sad he was the most overrated. 5 birdies in 6 tries at the Island green

Truthfully I was thinking about his TPC win while typing, along with his performance a few years ago in all 4 majors.
He also was one of our best Ryder Cup players in a losing effort.
It’s been all down hill since for Ricky

Yet he is extremely popular with his peers and the media. He makes tons of money away from the game. I still route for him but don't expect anything.

My buddy has a box on 16 and I was there last year. I’ve been to the Super Bowl, NBA finals, Stanley Cup finals and sat octagon side for a big fight. That green during normal times is the wildest sporting event I’ve ever been to by far.

You can always watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet at 2:00! Sure to bring a smile or two to your face... seriously!

It’s first on at 2:00 but I think repeated throughout the day so perhaps the timing will be right for you to see it during halftime! Or you can tape it and watch it that way during halftime. I do volunteer work for The Sato Project and six of their pups will be featured on the show!

Isn't Ricky one of these guys who decided mid career to make changes to his game? It seems to me like some never get back to where they were before.

Perhaps the poorest golfer I ever regularly played with aced 16 for his first of 3 holes in one. (He started playing in his 60’s.) The stands were up and it was very cool.

It’s a lot easier for the top players to pull for him because they all make so much money away from the game. But the tier guys don’t mind Speith missing more cuts so they can play on the weekends. Btw, that’s who is playing at the SB halftime show, The Weekend.

No one wants to win this thing. Spieth +3 today. Hahn throwing away his lead. Schauffele not doing much, but doing the least damage so he’s in the drivers seat.

Anyone hear the postgame interview w Koepka? He was very open about the difficulties he had with the hip and knee rehabs. Talked about being in a dark place during that time. Very honest about what he went through. Have to admire him for that interview.

He is possibly the best player on Tour when he’s healthy.

Love this tournament. I played the course the day after the Rutgers/Louisville game. As I met the guys I was going to play with I said I was from NJ and they were like "DID YOU WATCH THAT GAME LAST NIGHT??" The course is a lot of fun, especially seeing it on TV. Only some of the "stadium" was up on 16, but still a blast. Played the last 4 holes in -2, with birdies on 15 & 17.

Spieths father played baseball at Lehigh with my brother.

Tough day for JT as well, with his grandfather passing away Saturday night.
