An admitted thorn here with never being on the DL before, to suddenly being on the DL every stinking day once joining the Mets.

Can't wait to see the loot for Harvey as this disastrous season (that apparently will never end), continues.
Meh. Harvey won't bring back much.

With the Happ and Hamels trades, it's pretty clear that Jake and Thor aren't going anywhere. Neither Yanks nor Cubs make those trades if they had hopes of hitting the jackpot.

He's the kind of guy that makes other players better. You don't have other players. Don't be so salty against one of the only solid locker room guys you have and a Rutgers guy at that. Miserable take.
So I have to kiss his *** because hes a Rutgers guy? Im not blaming Frazier for signing that contract that the idiots Wilpins/Sandy offered him. But what has he done better than Mike Moustakas. Just another Jay Bruce, Jason Vargas, and the other cheap alternatives who have done nothing that the admin has chosen over better players. They actually got lucky with Bautista but I'm sure Authur Jackson will join that list.

Why hasn't MLB stepped in to force the sale of the team to a more able owner just like what happened to the Dodgers a few years ago?:weary:

Brewers are now interested in Wheeler and Cabrera. The Brewers seem to always be interested in everyone.

Hopefully, we get something for them.

I’d actually like to see what we could get for deGrom. Can’t see the Mets ever contending again while he’s in his prime. He’s already 30 and I don’t think his value will ever be higher than right now.

Because the Dodgers had declared bankruptcy after the McCourt divorce. The concern was solvency, not competence. The league will not mandate competent management, nor should it.

Well, the league should. The Wilpons are like Donald Sterling (former owner of the L.A. Clippers) and Daniel Snyder (Washington Redskins) in that all took and are taking their teams and fans for idiots. It only hurts the brand of the leagues. Baseball can't afford to have the brand take any more hits. I stopped going to games because of the Wilpons. I don't mind spending money if the team is TRYING to win, but the Wilpons are more concern with saving a dollar.

Didn’t expect much for him and that’s exactly what they got.

Actually the talking heads on SNY were saying they got more than expected for him. Cabrera is a couple month position player rental. Pitcher has some upside, hits 97 with a curve slider and change up. His big problem is command. At 23 years old its probably the best the mets could have expected to get.

Twins got 2 top 15 prospects from the Astros for Ryan Pressley. And he's not a saves guy. Still perplexed why the Mets didn't make a deal with Astros for Familia,

MLB actually has 4 Mets in their Top 100 Prospects: Gimenez; Alonso; Kellenic and Dunn.

Because that would mean the Mets would have to actually negotiate a good deal that would be beneficial for EVERYONE. Cant do that when you're having your annual liquidation sale to get money for the Islanders Arena and the Mall on the Chop Shop Blocks.

Guillorme called up to replace Cabrera.

Per Mike Puma of NY Post, Mesoraco likely next to go. Not convinced either Wheeler or Flores will go, as it would mean giving up on 2019.
