Point taken. Didn't see the later posts either. Hope they do it again tomorrow. At the time of my post, it was 6-6:

- Robles pitching for NYM
- Lee struck out swinging.
- Holaday doubled to deep left.

This is because Mickey Callaway is a breath of fresh air after years of Sling Blade being managed of the Mets.I was 100% wrong on the Mets start this season, did not think they'd have such a great start when they looked so awful in preseason. I know it doesn't mean anything, but an awful preseason team usually doesn't come out firing like the Mets have. Couldn't be happier with their start. Doing everything right, and even pitchers that have had blow ups under Terry (Ramos, Robles, Familia), are getting it done without getting lit up.
More like 79-81 more to secure a post season spot. To win the division, I'm thinking 83 more will do it. The Nats because of an improved division won't come close to running away this year. No way the Nats win 97 regular season games this year.9 down and I would say 87 more to go to make the post season.
Why? Get 81-90 more to win the division. As 2016 proved, you better win the division instead playing in the one game WC game.More like 79-81 more to secure a post season spot. Of course the goal is to win the division, but I'm trying to Curb My Enthusiasm,:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:Why? Get 81-90 more to win the division. As 2016 proved, you better win the division instead playing in the one game WC game.

Let's put this one away early and get ready for the Nats on Friday. I would like to see Ces get tonite off but with a lefty going for the fish he probably starts. He has not been in a good grove all season. He has been clutch the last two nights late but in fairness he was also lucky those two ab's. One broken bat hit Monday and a misplay by Anderson last night. But I will take it. I'd rather be lucky than good.
Oswalt is going back down. Pretty long commute for one day in the majors.Did they announce who’s going down when they bring up Wheeler for tomorrow?
Did he at least enjoy a cup of coffee?Oswalt is going back down. Pretty long commute for one day in the majors.
Mets are going with an eight man bullpen as we all knew they eventually would. That leaves room for only four bench players. Nimmo was the only possible choice. He will no doubt be back. They sent Nimmo down, I'm guessing to get AB's but that sucks, it really does.
We did get to see him warm up in the bullpen.Oswalt is going back down. Pretty long commute for one day in the majors.
Supposedly he's been really sick since Sunday but he wants to keep playing. He was late on a bunch of 92 MPH fastballs last night, a clear sign something is up. I'd also like to see him just sit tonight, get the extra benefit of tomorrow's off day, and hopefully be back to 100% for the weekend series.Let's put this one away early and get ready for the Nats on Friday. I've wouldve tobe apesh** last year. But I can clearly see the reasons why Nimmo was sent down. So I'm going to enjoy the ride.Mets are going with an eight man bullpen as we all knew they eventually would. That leaves room for only four bench players. Nimmo was the only possible choice. Confirmed on Metscom. On DL being evaluated for TJ surgery. Here we go. Post reporting Travis D has a torn UCL and needs TJ surgery. Nido called up from AA.
Probably the last we've seen of Travis as our catcher. Plawecki will tow the line, but we need an upgrade at deadline...Confirmed on Metscom. On DL being evaluated for TJ surgery.
Can you say injury prone?

Sanchez
No DBs on the Mets. I said it in jest. Plus his 0.056 average--no thanks. No DH in the NL.
To show how unabashedly Met-centric I am, I thought this was a reference to Met farmhand Ali Sanchez.Sanchez
Who said Plawecki is lost? He took 1st base, scored, and high fived his teammates in the dugout when he scored.Lose both catchers on same day...ugh!!!!...feel bad for Plawecki...hopefully he's ok.....fearing a fracture......Did Montero get DFA'd today? If so, get him...he has some pop
