No you said Harvey threw 100 pitches, I said Scherzer threw 110 today, it happens.

I misread you said 92mph. My bad. But I never compared anyone just stated a fact on Scherzer

Yes it's only the Phillies but Gsellman and Lugo are doing good so far in their roles. I wonder if they keep it up, esp vs Washington, will one of them take over for Steven Matz if he continues to struggle?

And Hansel Robles' outing was pretty damm good. All I'm gonna say is ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Anywho, big series vs the Nats this weekend. Let's hope for the best.

Nats got trounced by Atlanta. They are going to be angry.

Looks like Reyes is on his way to another sub .200 1st half like last year.

There's no reason for him to be starting especially over Rosario who needs all the AB's he can get. He also has the big 3B to win the game yesterday and next day bam bench. This is all coming from someone who loved the Callaway hire.

Maybe it's not Callaway.

Players do not play all 162 games any more so expectation that Rosario will is flawed. Reyes is the backup so he will play some.

He's 22 and its the first week of the season. He's not getting a rest. Callaway said it's all about the matchup today and to me that's asinine.

But you can't let your bench sit for a month before you get them some at bats either.

Reyes has already started a game. They're bench bats for a reason. Ideally Reyes wouldn't even be on this team anymore and we'd have a different backup at SS.

Exactly. Nobody is trying to make a run at Cal Ripken here. It's a very long season. Guys need playing time here and there to be sharp. Not to mention the premise of getting another left-handed bat in there against Strasburg. Much ado about nothing.

But again my point you can't let the bench get no at bats and then expect them to produce a month from now.

No one is saying that. This is going to be a low scoring game and between Rosario's defense and athleticism he's a much better fit for the start. He also needs to get AB's against pitchers like Strasburg so he can improve his game. Let Reyes start early next week against a worse team not to mention he already started few games ago.

And a horrendous relay throw by Reyes costs us a run but hey need the AB's the first week of the season.

Again, which channel is game on? Trying to watch it on a tablet in Arizona. SNY is blacked out. MLB network?
Tried tuning to WOR radio via internet and got Rush Limbaugh. Barf.

Maybe Strasburg is not to be feared. . . . .
Thanks for the help on where to watch, fellow Mets fans.
de Grom loads the bases and then gets three outs. Nice work.

MLB TV is a subscription channel mainly although they do have select freebies of out of market games. For instance they're never gonna show a Mets game in the NY/NJ area and I'll never see a Braves game on there down here. Not that I'd want to.

The info is all over the place. SNY says it is on. This link says MLB Tv. Not even sure if I have MLB TV.
What radio channel?

See from the game cast Bruce just hit a grand slam.

The game is on SNY here in NJ. But yesterday I was in Cancun and was able to watch the game on Facebook Live feed. It had the MLB crew, but it was nice to watch the game while relaxing in 88 degree heat! Now I'm back home and freezing. Ugh!!
