I thought Daniel Jones could be an OK QB even if not a true #1. Without the running TDs his pass overall TDs ( to INTs) were mediocre. Blame the OL or whatever for passing but he was a decent runner. However he seemed too injury prone to be a robust runner. Now that he's out with a non contact Achilles tear - and before that a fractured fibula early in the 2025 season - I think its safe to say NYG's made the right decision.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen confirms QB Daniel Jones sustained season-ending torn Achilles' vs. Jaguars

Looking for some tailgate advice for the game tomorrow. A big group (some 25 people, 6-8 cars) are going to celebrate my brothers 40th tomorrow. Given the weather, some are not going in and instead watching at the mall.

We were originally going to park in lot J but given how far that is from the mall, we’re thinking of pivoting to lot D, right next to the mall and marginally closer to the stadium.

So questions;
- anyone familiar with lot D; any insights for tailgating?
-given the weather, do we think the lots will still be ‘full’, or more specifically, do you think we’ll have an issue getting spaces close/together provided we get to the lot by 10am?

I know that’s LATE for a usual game but they’re calling for 4-6 inches of snow, tickets are going for as low as $9, and both teams are obviously/unfortunately looking ahead to next season already.

The only silver lining is that with each loss, likelyhood of Schoen getting "Schoen the Door" and his replacement working with the #1 overall pick (hopefully trading down for noatload of picks with a QB hunting team looking to overpay to draft Mendoza). .

The most interesting thing related to the Giants this week is that the Colts pulled out of retirement the QB that the Giants traded for Eli so that the previously retired guy could replace the QB who replaced Eli.

One positive development was that the light bulb seems to have popped on for Abdul Carter. Needs to follow up with another strong game next week.

Not that it's an excuse, but I wonder if there was friction between Carter and the defensive coach who was recently canned.

Could be. Also, sometimes it takes rookies a little while to wrap their head around what it means to be a professional football player. The job, the study and preparation that comes with it. I imagine it's a culture shock for some guys.

Staying awake and making meetings shouldn’t be culture shock. Maybe we can chalk it up to his just recently turning 22.

The Giants key players who are not playing got hurt and left the game last week. The Raiders shut down 3 of there best players who have all been playing.

We raider and giants fans think we have a lot on the line today? Imagine having a shot at $18.7M riding on them?

If the Giants can get a full season from Carter like the last 3 weeks it will be a definite step in the right direction
And if they can get #8 on the field too it would be nice.

NYGs suck and lose all season. The when a loss could help them they win in a blowout. That's not a bad team that's a cursed team

I believe they're locked in at #2. As they don't need a QB it really comes down to what they would get in a trade if they move down as opposed to what they'd get for #1.

I'm sure some teams would be desperate for Mendoza. Stats, leadership, character, elite titles - he checks all the boxes.

Definitely not the case. They could pick from 2 to 7. If they lose vs Dallas it’s 2. If they win then it matters what several other teams do.

To be fair, the Raiders are a combination of terrible and tanking.....so it may have taken a miracle effort to lose to them.

The front office may want to tank, but players have pride. Some are playing for their next paycheck. That could be for another team, so tanking isn't in their best interest.

Get ready but GM Joe Schoen is coming back. Can you believe it.

Word us out that he is definItaly going to handle the 2026 Draft. He is also now lining up the Head Coaching interviews. Several well-sourced
NY sports columnists say we have another year of this *******.

He had a good draft last year with Carter, Dart and Skattebo. Of course when you stink every year and get high draft slots just luck alone might get a good player. Malik Nabers last year was also a good pick. Bobby Okereke was great as a FA. Skattebo was a sharp pick because a lot of teams would have avoided a compact RB running a 4.65 at the combine. I didn't like the way Saquon was handled but I cant say Schoen is awful overall.

True - but the Giants did the same thing last year. They had 2 games to go and would get #1 with 2 loses. But in the penultimate game they beat a decent Indianapolis 45-33. Dallas beat NYGs in last game.
