Ten off top of my head that have been much more successful post lockout.
Not sure what your metrics are for “best run”..though
ruth mantle gehrig and dimaggio have zero to do with how the franchise is run in the 21st centuryso they Yankees should disregard the Ruth,Mantle,Gehrig ,Dimaggio years?

Sure..it’s fair to question the other 3..but STL has a cup in this time frame..so really not sure the metrics you are using..
why don't you name the teams who post lockout are better managed than the rangers with statistics to back it up. post lockout is the salary cap new age NHL. Trying to compare pre and post lockout is apples and oranges. The reason you won't name 10 teams better managed than the rangers post lockout is because there arent 10 teams better than the rangers post lockout. The rangers probably sit between 6th-8th in all of the NHL post lockout.Vegas management did a pretty good job too running that organization. That’s prob most impressive.
Just give @kyk1827 credit. Rangers are a top 30 team post lockout.
As for the devils, the talk above that they would draft one player over the other based on internal pressure from a player is laughable. This is the biggest pick in franchise history. ( bigger than 2017) and will change the face and direction of franchise for the next decade. They will take best player.
winning a cup ONE year does not make the franchise better run over the past 15, that's a clown comment.Sure..it’s fair to question the other 3..but STL has a cup in this time frame..so really not sure the metrics you are using..

Here is the blues post lockout. Prior to this season, post lock out they've won FOUR total playoff series. FOUR!!! Come on man. This is childs play
Not the smart ones! Kakko is the top choice.Funny, if New York had the first pick all of their fans would be singing the praises of Hughes. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Year in and year out competitiveness. Playoff series wins. I don't think you'll find a single hockey mind that will tell you with a straight face that the rangers haven't been one of the best run franchise in the league post lockout. So what metrics are you using to determine best run? Playoff series wins which are meaningless without a cup?
Very happy with the progress on the rebuild.Ya know what's funny @superfan01 next season in the middle of a rebuild the rangers are going to make the playoffs after only missing them for 2 years while we tore it down to the studs. That's what a well-run franchise does. Not like the devils which have made the playoffs once in the past 7 years and got bounced in the first round that one time.
Next years rangers starting lineup is going to have a top 6 of Kakko, MZ, Kreider (if not traded which I think he will be), Panarin, Kravtsov, Buch. Well Chytil probably will make his way into the top 6 as 2C.
Top 4 on defense of Trouba-Skjei Staal-ADA aint too bad. The team is extremely young and primed to be good for years to come. I just think you're mad that as you look at how the devils vs how the rangers have been managed post lockout that the devils were never quite able to get things in order. And the devs past 7 years or so has been pitiful. On top of all of that, there doesn't even look to be light at the end of the tunnel. Sad time to be a devs fan. Hopefully they just get moved to brooklyn like the nets after the isles go back to the island

Reading this guys bitter posts one after the other about the Devils and then coming to this one and thinking how ironic.Youre really mad lol.
so if you win 4 playoff series in 15 years and then win one cup in a miraculous run in year 15 in your mind that equates to a well-run franchise? interesting take.Don’t thing there’s one hockey that won’t take into account cups win during that time to come to a conclusion.
To me, again, competitiveness year in and year out means nothing if you don’t take the next step.
But agree to disagree,

But agree to disagree,
If given the choice of (A) a 15-year stretch with only 4 playoff series wins and then a Stanley Cup, or (B) any number of series wins without a Cup, every player in the world would take A, and so would any reasonable fan.so if you win 4 playoff series in 15 years and then win one cup in a miraculous run in year 15 in your mind that equates to a well-run franchise? interesting take.
So if the blues lose game 7 in your eyes they wouldve been a failure of a franchise. Just want to make sure im getting this right hereYes.
Building a team takes time. A well run franchise wins cups. Not playoff series.

Dude This is a Rutgers message board. We're all Lil Bro's around here.Lil bro, lil bro
I think you have it wrong. Hughes higher floor, kakko higher ceiling thats pretty well established. And the devs are doing everything they can to appease taylor hall who is gonezoooooo after this year. My college roommate lives next to him in soho lofts in jersey city (rental building) and it’s pretty well known this is his last year in NJ.The list of teams "well run" has some obvious questions on it. STL should be on there. They won. Rest is silly.
Also funny takes on the draft. Kakko has higher floor but Hughes is guy with very high ceiling. He's no brained top pick. And if it was close, Sheros relationship w the family and USA hockey is tie breaker. Not whatever dopey Hall says or wants.
You are simply wrong on Hughes / Kakko. And yes, they want to appease Hall but that has zero impact on draft.I think you have it wrong. I hope you’re joking.Slow down. The Devils history, without Brodeur, would look about the same
so Hall has told all the other tenants in the building that hes leaving?I think you have it wrong. Hughes higher floor, kakko higher ceiling thats pretty well established. Awww crap... Lets start rebuilding, boys.I think you have it wrong. Hughes higher floor, kakko higher ceiling thats pretty well established. Dude, that's nothing compared to what I heard at Subway the other day...Well... that confirms it. This guy’s college roommate and his neighbors have the scoop. Lets start rebuilding, boys.
Did I ever tell you about my cousin’s friend who went to the prom with Bon Jovi?
The Triple H line! Does the WWE own the trademark? We can all agree the Rangers suck. Marty is the GOAT, and Hall, Hischier and Hughes will return us to the promised land of Sir Stanley’s cup
No lol he doesnt walk around being like “hey come here pssssst just so you know im not resigning with the devils”. But hes a regular dude, comes to the tenant parties and events. How much you willing to wager on this?so Hall has told all the other tenants in the building that hes leaving?
sounds like #FakeNews from a stRangers fan.
well,I dont have to bet because IF this is such a known intent, like you are trying to sell as factual, then the Devils will move Hall at the draft. If he stays around after the draft then your story is shaky. No lol he doesnt walk around being like “hey come here pssssst just so you know im not resigning with the devils”. Sureeeee just like they did with parise right? The world knew he was OUT to minny. His wife (girlfriend at the time) was a teacher at my high school west essex, yes you can look this up. And she put her notice In mid-season in 2012. The devils are soooo poorly run man. Theyre gonna pray he stays and lose him for nothing like they did parisewell,I dont have to bet because IF this is such a known intent, like you are trying to sell as factual, then the Devils will move Hall at the draft. If that’s the case, the devils should put a mole in his building to help with the negotiation. “Sir, I’m happy to report that Mr Hall just signed a 4 year fios contract. I believe he is intent on resigning with the team”No lol he doesnt walk around being like “hey come here pssssst just so you know im not resigning with the devils”.
