Where is the Cape May Panico's? You need to do at least one fancy place while on vacation. Can't beat the Washington Inn. Our little one loves getting dressed up for it. :)
You would really like it. I believe it's a restored church or something. Very unique. Food was out of this world. We went on a date night when her parents came down. It's kind of near Washington Street Mall but not really within walking distance. It's towards West Cape May. On Broadway.

While I still miss Tumulty's, the old owners had let the place go a bit and Doug has definitely revamped and improved the place from what it was. Some very good pub food with a few surprises, like the 20 different kinds of gourmet doughnuts for dessert. Live music several nights a week too. He also recently bought Clydz and my buddy and I went there after the big hoops win over Illinois and had some fantastic apps, but I haven't had dinner there yet. And Olive Branch is still a great bar with very good bar food (my favorite wings in the area).
Interesting to see that Clydz changed hands again. When was that? Loved that place when the original Clyde's owned it (they now own Sergeantsville Inn). Thought the last owner kept it good, but not as good. Summer of 2019, I had a so so meal there and hadn't been back, so I'll have to try it again. I miss all of their wild game that they used to have (kangaroo, ostrich, antelope, boar, elk, etc.) as you can't find that much anywhere.

At Cape May, we really like Sapore (had some of the best langostina there last summer) and 410 Bank St.

Just saw the map, definitely a little off the beaten trail. We go to the Point and lighthouse a few times each summer, but this is off Sunset/West Perry. Will definitely try it out.

Ended up going to OMR and sat at the bar with my client watching the Met's game.
Was not disappointed. I went simple and got a Cheese burger with sautéed onions and mushrooms with fries. He got the boneless braised short ribs. He loved his and I have to say this-
I get my burgers medium rare and this one was cooked to perfection. And that is very unusual. I almost always get it coming out medium rather than MR. And the fries, perfect- top of mouth scorching hot on the inside and crispy on the out.

Yes. It is now Tavern on the George. Same owner as Olive Branch and he always posts on the board as well @InGregITrust . It's a good place to eat still.
Tumulty's is one of those places that needed to be preserved in its existing form when sold with some upgrade but retain atmosphere and environment. Tried the new place and just don't like it.
