He's maddeningAlmost all of KAT’s fouls are dumb fouls on both ends of the court.

Brunson hasn't fouled out of a all year until game 5 against the Celtics. Brandon average 2.5 per game. How in the hell does he pick up 5 fouls in the 3rd quarter? Brunson doesn't play defense to the point he in physical contact the other players. Boston targeted him from the being of the game and he wasn't called for any fouls in the first half. Suddenly, he picks up 5 in the 3rd? IMO that was to keep Mr. Clutch from being a threat of ending the series too early for the NBA's wishes. Not a Knicks fan so couldn't care about the refs.
But the NBA absolutely knows what refs they are assigning to certain games and how that could impact things.
Refs have tendencies.
Just like MLB umpires.
I'm sure the NBA isn't outright saying "Make sure Boston wins."
Wouldn't be shocked if it was more "Hey, let's assign this guy to ref this particular game and see what happens."
Would be interesting to see what exactly the ref assignment process is and how far in advance it's decided.
I was yelling st Thibs thru the TV five mins into the 4thThibs is maddening
UP 34 with 6 mins OG KAT and Bridges were still in the game . Celtics had 4 G leaguers and a fat guy playing the entire 4th.
Besides that , that was awesome
GO NY GO NY GOOOOOO !!!
You do realize Thibs has PTSD against the Celtics. In game 5 the Knicks were up 1 with less than a 1 1/2 minutes left in the quarter and the Celtics ripped off 12 points to close the quarter. The were down by 11 in a blink of an eye. No lead is safe in the NBA as long as the 3 pt shot is available.Thibs is maddening

It’s been a long time . . .Lol at Knicks fans celebrating in the streets after winning a 2nd round series.
NY fans can make a party out of a sh*t storm. That is why others around the country are jealous. It just blows their mind.Lol at Knicks fans celebrating in the streets after winning a 2nd round series.

I'm not feeling a 7 game series. The last 2 years the Pacers have won against teams depleted and dealing with several injuries to key players. The one time the Pacers face a healthy team, they were manhandled by the Celtics. Against the Knicks, NY was missing Randle, Robinson, and OG at the start of the series. During the series, the Knicks lost Hart and Brunson and it took the Pacers 7 games to put the Knicks away. That speaks volumes about who the Pacers really are when facing good teams.I'm a knick fan but if Knicks win tonight and series price goes to +225 I gotta bet that. It should go 7, don't thi k home court means as much, and with Brunson and Mitch being so injury prone, things can turn quick
Nesmith will be a pain in the *** for Brunson , but then either Nembhard or Haliburton has to guard Bridges which should be advantage Bridges.I'm not feeling a 7 game series. OG shut down Siakam in the playoffs last year until he got hurt. KAT averaged 30 and 10 against the Pacers this year. I believe Mitchell Robinson is the "X" factor that Indiana hasn't dealt with since the regular season ('23-'24). The Pacers haven't faced anyone like Robinson.Nesmith will be a pain in the *** for Brunson , but then either Nembhard or Haliburton has to guard Bridges which should be advantage Bridges.
i'm convinced after watching him a year there is no such thingIf the Knicks get a consistently good Towns I think they win.
OG is how you measure if the Knicks win or lose. When OG scores 20 or more points, the Knicks haven't lost. Btw, KAT averaged 30 and 10 against the Pacers this year.i'm convinced after watching him a year there is no such thing
a good stretch for a half is followed by another half of a disappearing act and senseless offensive fouls
I hope the Knicks win but I think it may take 7 games. The Pacers want to play fast and pressure you up and down the floor. They can legitimately go 9-10 deep. While the Knicks may have more top end talent the Pacer's will look to take advantage of their depth over the full 48 minutes. If the Knicks get a consistently good Towns I think they win.
OG missed more than a few wide open threes last game, gotta knock more of those downOG is how you measure if the Knicks win or lose. When OG scores 20 or more points, the Knicks haven't lost. Btw, KAT averaged 30 and 10 against the Pacers this year.
Hard to complain about missed calls after I think Game 3 of the Pistons series. You are right, OG needs to catch that pass. The challenge on the siakim OG play
Spent 5 minutes so focused on looking at hands and ball
Missed the push on hip and the grabbing of OG’s jersey
Doesn’t matter if it’s a little easier bounce pass and OG grabs the damn ball
Missed goaltending to put Knicks up 6 2 mins into OT sucked too
There was no defense by either team.Knicks didn't have the killer instinct to put Indiana away.Missed foul shots and turnovers allowed Indiana come back with a barrage of 3 pointers at crunch time.Bad coaching on taking ball out of bounds reminds me of Rutgers.Brutal loss especially for an opening game. A couple of missed free throws left the door open and it was too reminiscent of so many RU losses this year
I was switching channels between the Mets and RU baseball and Knicks and at one point in the 4th quarter it was within 3 points, i change channels and come back and Knicks are up by 14 with a few minutes to go so Im thinking this one is over, go back to RU baseball and come back a little while later and Knicks only up by like 3 with 20 seconds left. Ridiculous to lose that game. Odds of Indiana winning at that point must have been ridiculous but you know someone, somewhere put a bet on them in the last few minutesThere was no defense by either team.Knicks didn't have the killer instinct to put Indiana away.Missed foul shots and turnovers allowed Indiana come back with a barrage of 3 pointers at crunch time.Bad coaching on taking ball out of bounds reminds me of Rutgers.
