yea thats him. there was a rumor going around when i was up there that he played baseball for us. given his state of health at that time there is no 17n way he played any sports on any level.

If you're talking about Wade Sims, he is enrolled @ State now in some type of program, living in a dorm was the story I was told. Saw him @ Trustmark for the USM game

I guess that is him. I saw him grow up basically. His dad and him sat in front of us at baseball for years. They go to everything. Hell, i saw lawrence roberts lifting him up on the court after a big win.
I cannot believe that kid is in college now.

Wade Sims is the man, his dad is hilarious, and his mother is a super nice lady who is from Starkville. All around great people

Yeah. I remember he would cry when he was a kid if we lost a baseball game. We would tell him we got 2 more to go on the weekend. He was hardcore even when he was 9 years old. Yelling at people to get up and starting cheers.

I used to stand/sit next to him at every basketball game when I first came to MSU. He was a lot of fun. I'll never forget how mad he was when we lost to Ryder.

He should be honorable mention, because he was only in the scene for about a semester. He parked a lawn chair in front of Lee Hall near the road that ran in front of the Union and waved at everybody. He was there everyday, and would wave until you waved back. I don't think he was slow or anything, he just waved. He flunked out after a semester I believe.

I think he went on to found Liberty Tax, and attracts his business by dressing like the Statue of Liberty or Uncle Sam and waving at everybody.

I always called him the Super Checker. That dude could bag a cart of groceries in 10 seconds flat. He always yelled at you too. "HEY!! HOW YOU DOIN!!!" I saw him tearing it up at a dollar night at Cheers once. He was in all blue, with a blue hat, and smoked the hell out of some black n milds. I tried to talk to him, but all I got was "HEY!! HOW YOU DOIN!!!". He was a little out there, but dude could bag a damn cart of groceries.
