Should be dry all four days with some significant wind on Friday. We’ll see which side of the tee time draw that plays out in favor of.

All eyes will be on Tiger. Can he do 4 days of walking 18 holes at Augusta, one of the most difficult walks in golf? We’ll see.

I have a hunch this might be Xander Shauffele’s breakout major. He usually plays well here. Going to make him my pick and probably put a few bucks on him finishing top 5.

Scottie Scheffler has been hottest player on planet. Expect it to continue this week.

Though would love to see JT finally get his green jacket.

Or will it be one of the new guards turn with a Morikawa, Xander or Hovland win?

other things I'm watching - Spieth plays well at the masters but his new swing has come under a lotta heat the last few weeks.

What sleeeper will make a run??? How about Luke List as the ultimate sleeper

My buddy runs a pool if anyone is interested... $35 per entry. Pick 6 golfers. Top 4 count.

Prizes for every day and overall top 3.

It appears the changes on 11 and 15 will make the holes a bit more demanding.

On #11 while moving the tee to the left and removing some trees on the right should make driving a bit easier, adding 15 yards and the changes to the bail out area around the green away from the pond may make it more risk - reward.

#15 will be 20 yards longer. Will more players decide it's a 3 shot hole or chance being able to keep a shot with a longer club on the narrow green, especially if it's windy?

I like JT.

Just so you know Spieth led the field in strokes gained to to green at the Valero last week. His swing was very sharp. However, the reason for the mediocre scoring last week was finishing #71 out of 72 in strokes gained putting. If he gets the putter going at Augusta he will be right there in the mix on the back-9 on Sunday. My concern is he missed multiple putts from inside three feet last week. Ouch.

18 putts in a round. Craziest stat I’ve seen.
OT: I once had 8 putts on the back nine at Sunset Valley (8 one-putts and a chip in on #16). The best was the last putt of the day where I had a 30 footer with a big break to raised back tier and I freaking drained it. My group went crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cam Smith is a fantastic putter.

Thought you were going to say you 8 putted one hole😀. Very impressive. My goal is to avg 36 putts per round.

Last 3 holes at Sunset Valley are rated the toughest final 3 holes on any public course in NJ

Speith, JT to contend

Don’t sleep on Morikawa and Xander either

Tiger top 10 if he makes it through the weekend. That would be epic.

I was in a similar pool. Pick 4, top 3 count. Double if one of your pick wins. I had Garcia the year he won.

Last year Masters week they cut and rolled the greens so fast at Sunset Valley it was unplayable. I five putted the 6th green and only because I got lucky that the fourth one stuck in an imperfection otherwise it would have just came back to me like the others. I heard one guy 7 putted the 11th hole that day.

Last Thursday I was +3 thru 15 and the wind started gusting over 30 mph. Let's just say those holes are unplayable even for the best players in those conditions. Finished with a 78 (+8).

Going with my new favorite golfer from last year. Sam Burns he just scores and super consistent. Hes replaced Rockie Fowler who has flamed out on me.

It’d be outstanding for Tiger to be in contention but I’m gonna go with either Viktor Hovland or Xander Schauffle

78 under any conditions at Sunset is outstanding. The bumpy greens alone can ruin your round. I’m a bigger fan of Berkshire Valley. Beautiful course and well maintained.

Has there ever been an athlete so important to his sport as Tiger is to golf? Maybe the combination of Bird/Magic? The NBA was going through a rough time before those two burst in the league. I'm just amazed how much interest rises with Tiger in the Masters. Incredible.

still, no one has played Augusta better the past eight years. Six top three finishes.
Yeah but he was hot back then. He's a mess right now. Don't get me wrong he's one of my favorites but this games is streaky and only the best of the best of the best can be consistent throughout their entire career.

Right now he's off his game.

After lipping out his Birdie putt on 5, Tiger hits his tee shot on the 180 yard 6th 2' from the cup. -1 after 6.

Very early on Higgs and Gooch lead at -2.

So we're going to have to watch ESPN for this.

Did we get mor coverage when the early rounds were available on Golf Channel? I seem to remember like 10 hours of Thursday and Friday coverage when it was there and even more on the weekends.

Am I misremembering or in addition to having to watch ESPN is ESPN screwing us out of viewing time too?

Masters.com has featured groups, Holes thru 4-6. Amen Corner, and 15 and 16, You can watch 1 2.3.or all 4 at once.

ESPN+ has early coverage with ESPN at 3pm I believe.
