There greens are soooo sloooow due to all the rain. Hopefully they pickup with the wind and dryness over the next three days.
With really low humidity and breezy conditions, especially in the afternoons both Friday and Saturday (15-20 mph winds), the greens could become very slick by Saturday and especially Sunday, depending on how the crew sets them up. Players tomorrow am and Saturday early will have a decided advantage. Sunday looks to have lighter winds over the whole day, although winds are notoriously tough to forecast well.

Never checked the board after posting brother. Sorry
Guessing it's from the Masters' site. Can't check now. There are like 5 feeds. Driving range, feature groups, amen corner etc.
Later there was a conversation about a shot and the guy asks his caddy "what would you hit?" The response was muffled but the guy says" I'll hit a 3/4 5 iron" , he then realizes he doesn't have a 5 in his bag and hits the 6. Funny as ****

The 3rd player with Justin Thomas and Matsuyama is US AM champ. James Piot, senior at Michigan State. From playing against Rutgers and other B1G teams to the Masters. Nice.

Crazy: Swafford, on 13, just had the clubhead of his iron fly off upon contact with the ball - luckily the ball ended up in the bunker over the green - looked like the clubhead ended up in Rae's Creek, lol.

Yeah but he was hot back then. He's a mess right now. Don't get me wrong he's one of my favorites but this games is streaky and only the best of the best of the best can be consistent throughout their entire career.

Right now he's off his game.
You’re right. He is a hot mess right now. He’ll miss the cut at +6. Too technical.

Sheffler just missed an easy 4-footer for birdie on 9 that would've put him 2strokes ahead of Schwartzel and Im. Tiger birdied 10 to get back to +1 - certainly still in reach of the leaders.

How do we have a Master's thread and not one post from @WhiteBus? Did I miss something and he quit the board? Hasn't been seen since 3/11/22. Hoping he's on a European bike tour.

Just caught up and wow, Scheffler put on a clinic on the back nine and is now tied for the largest 36 hole lead (5 strokes) in the history of the Masters, at -8, while Hideki, Schwartzel, Lowry, and Im are all at -3, with 13 more at E to -2, and with Tiger still lurking at +1, which is pretty amazing. His tournament to win or lose now. Going to be chilly tomorrow with highs in the upper 50s, as well as breezy again with 10-15 mph winds, and then Sunday morning lows will be in the upper 30s, but it'll warm up into the low 70s with lighter winds. Tomorrow looks like it could be tough.

It would be an epic collapse I’d Scottie doesn’t win this thing. He’s a solid player so I think he does it.

Masters is over. Scheffler wins this easily. The guy is so dialed in.
The only thing worth watching is Tiger now. Will he finish?
He is amazing that he is so good after what he went through.
I was very impressed with how well he played the first two days.

Lotta golf left and some good golfers look to be at his heels. It's always tough to close on Sunday from the lead. If it were closer I'd say it wouldn't be bad if he lost the lead tomorrow but with this big a lead that would be bad.

The young big hitters (Bryson and Wolff) with poor showings. Just to show, you just need to hit it long enough to win.

Also noticing some interesting sponsors. Think last week I saw Flex seal on someone’s shirt.

LOL. You know it's funny. Except for the absolute top golfers in history, Tiger, Jack, Arnie, probably Snead and others further back, this entire sport is built on streaks. Guys get hot for two or three years and then many of them just fade into grinders. It's Schefflers time to be on a hot streak and dominate.

Look at the others on the list and you'll see names and think - I remember when that guy was in contention every week for about two years. Age is some of it but getting in a groove seems to be how they win then fade away.

If a guy gets on a hot streak for 2 years now he is set for life financially. Massive amounts of money from sponsors and winnings. Even if they then fall back to mediocre they are still raking it in. Hard to stay focused and grinding on the range once youve made it.

Yeah I'm sure that's a lot of it. You have to be an ever specialer (HA) kind of person like the historic greats to work so hard for so long after you have the money, wins and fame.

Take Tiger. He's got a billion in the bank but still seems to want to catch Jack. That's drive. (or crazy).

I heard that in Scottie Scheffler's 3 recent wins, earned 50% more than Jack Nicklaus' lifetime earnings. All these golfers can thank Tiger for the huge money prizes.

Thats just tourney winnings. Scottie also just signed a deal with taylormade, I'm sure his agents are busy working through all his other sponsor opportunities now that he's #1.

And he's only 25. Maybe he has the drive like tiger to keep his focus, but must be tough when you hit the jackpot.

50% more after adjusting for inflation? If so, that’s wild.

If he follows the pattern he'll be Rickie Fowler by the time he's 30.

Can’t believe it. Of all the clubs in his bag, didn’t think the flat stick would be Tiger’s downfall.

Phil speaks the truth and gets screwed for it.
Phil may have painted himself into a corner with the Saudi golf league. If he took money from them, signed a contract to recruit Tour players and agreed to play in their first tournament on June 9 in London then he has a mess on his hands.

I believe that the PGA tour has suspended Phil, for good reasons.

Tiger making the cut is very impressive coming off the accident, but definitely not ready to compete at this level yet. Walking has to take a toll on him.
