I cannot believe he lasted 8 years there, losing more than twice as many games as he's won. Gotta give Maryland some credit for not pulling the trigger too early like so many schools do nowadays, I guess.

yeah. It's shocking he lasted so long. Seemingly always went 3-0 or 4-0 vs out of conference cupcakes, and then maybe win 1 or 2 BIG games.

Penn State has had a strong footprint there for years. Locksley was a solid recruiter but coaching always a ?.

More an example of the Peter Principle rather than an inability to coach. Locksley had success as an OC and position coach.

Surprised it took 8 years honestly. With the recruits in the DMV, a good hire could make the terps dangerous, but I'm not sure they can land the right guy based on their history.

I wonder if Locksley had hired BF as a favor....

Awhile back, some posters (not many) seemed to think a lot of NFL coaches were salivating at the notion of having BF on their staff as TE coach.... Fresno State seems like a good fit, so happy for him.

Going back to Locksley, I guess he only had '8 lives' as HC Maryland.
