This team does a good job of getting runs back after other team scores. Stop momentum and let opposition know you are not going away ! Let's go David ,keep proving me wrong .

No need to trade him, since that would be totally knee-jerk. He'll win some big games down the stretch and all will be forgiven. I do not blame him one bit for his intent, it was just the way he put it I think that offended. Harvey's making $500K per year, with the chance to make $20M per year if he stays healthy for another couple of years. It's his livelihood. If he blows out his arm, Mets fans just remorse about what could have been for a couple of days, but then root for the other aces and life goes on; for Harvey, it would be all over.
That's why you trade him. If he blows out his arm, he's no good to the team and if he gets $20+ million it won't be from the Mets. If Boston is talking about Bogarts and Betts to start and hopefully, Moncada. I'm listening.

I don't think you can get Betts and Bogearts for Harvey. That sounds like one of those two as a centerpiece in a deal, or Moncada in a prospect deal. If the Sox really would give up B +B, done in a NY minute. Either one alone, it is still a very interesting idea.

I was surprised by the story. Since, it comes from a credible Sox reporter, I found it very interesting. If true, you're right; "Done in a minute."

I haven't seen a pitcher struggle for strikes like that since I coached a 10 year old "B" team.

I will admit that I turned it off at 7-1 but gave one more check at 7-2 and now 7-7. Plenty of game left. Need Reed to get out of this inning.

Come on Reed, throw strikes. Only two things happen when you start going 2-0, 3-0 and neither one of them is good.

Nieuwenhuis of all people! There is something magical going on.

Mets ownership better break the bank to sign Cespedes. Not many people can thrive under pressure in NYC but he's proving he can, over and over again.

Why do you have Rendon bint unless he was bunting for a hit? (I am in Georgia, can't see game). Familia would just walk Harper if the sacrifice is successful.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and purchase MLBTV tomorrow. Tired of following these updates on the computer and not being able to see the game action. All while the MLB network continues to show the tight 8-2 game between the Cubs and Cards. You couldn't break away for the end of the Mets game?

Familia, yes! [cheers]

Is it too much to ask for a 1,2,3 inning?? There's no need to be deGrom at the All-Star Game, but don't have me reaching for the antacid either... [roll]

Oops. Didn't know that . Well that worked out well then :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I have to give you credit, the karma you bring to the Mets is better than a game day thread predicting the demise of Rutgers in last year's Maryland game. Keep up the good work!!!! Let's go Mets!

I have to give up to the relievers. They kept us in the last two games and the offense was able to bring it home. This team is coming together at just the right time.
