Anyone under 25 can't fathom the importance of each week's edition of TV Guide to American families. He was on the cover of TV Guide in October of 1959.
I remember picking it up for my mother at the A&P down the street,a store that gave out Plaid Stamps.
The Fall Preview issue was the best!!!!Anyone under 25 can't fathom the importance of each week's edition of TV Guide to American families.
The words, "Throw me the TV Guide," were uttered millions of times everyday in households from coast to coast.

Without question, Joseph Kearns.RIP Dennis. Which Mr. Wilson did you like best - the first one or the second one?
Loved the Dennis comic books, hated the show. My last name is Wilson, so I still get an occasional Hellooo Mr. Wilson from people who watched the show back in the day. Was also a Leave it to Beaver fan.RIP, really never watched the show, I am more of a Beaver fan.
Joseph Kearns was sufficiently cranky for the role, but he could carry it comedically too with some of his facial expressions.Without question, Joseph Kearns.
Gale Gordon was OK, but he'll always be Mr. Mooney in my book.
Was a fan of both shows. Nothing like The Munsters vs. The Addams Family. There you had to choose a side.RIP, really never watched the show, I am more of a Beaver fan.
