I've heard pro and con. Haven't downloaded it yet but that little red dot on my phone is giving my OCD hell. Anyone downloaded it?

It's just me but I never download or buy the latest greatest until all the bugs are worked out, ever. Never gave a rats arse to be the guinea pig

I've heard that you should never download a new OS when apple releases a new phone, unless you have the new phone. Heard it makes the old phone run much slower, almost forcing you to buy the latest generation.

I have an 6s and its running 10 perfectly. No complaints. I actually like all the changes. It hasn't slowed my phone down either.

I have the 6s. The new system is ok, I guess.... speed and battery life is fine. However, I get the "Storage Almost Full" message 50 times a day and I had, at the time of the update, 1GB of free space on my phone.

It's okay. I have a 6plus and as long as I'm using the fingerprint thing then everything is great, but if you're in the middle of phone call or use anything other than the fingerprint its a pain to get into your phone.....or it is for me. All the other new features are great. The apple music upgrage is pretty nice too to allow for you to grab songs within your playlist to the top of the line. Same thing as queuing up but with a visual.

I like it so far and I have an iPhone 5s.

FYI for the hunters: Apple has FINALLY produced an SD card reader that works with the iPhone. They've had it for a while but it previously only worked for iPad. I pulled trail cam cards over the weekend and was able to immediately view them on my phone.

I hate it just because I it had the suggested words above my keyboard when I'm typing and I can't get rid of it. And there's not a send button on the keyboard

Iphone 5, 10.0.2 came in today.

AS with most big changes, I had to go to settings, and cut some stuff off...again.

Hope I got it all.
My phone requirements are not too great.

If you don't have a lot of data, make sure to turn off Wifi assist. If you are connected to wifi and it is going slowly, the assist automatically pulls from your data to speed it up. You cannot tell when it is doing this. It still shows the wifi connection on your screen. It's found on settings, cellular, and all the way at the bottom.

Last update I did on my 5S was 10.0.1 and I lost a ton of phone numbers in my address book. Some I'll never get back. I'm leery of updating to 10.0.2. Has anybody else ever had this problem with iOS downloads?

This would come in handy for me on Friday I'm taking off work to do some work in the woods including checking a camera. Do you think this is something that can be bought locally or only online? Thanks

I ordered mine on Amazon one morning and had it the next day. I have Prime. It is also sold by Apple on their website.

I'm not sure if it is sold locally. Closely read the description wherever you buy it to make sure it is the new one that is iPhone compatible. It's the best $29 I've spent for hunting in a very long time.

ETA: Best Buy sells them.

They run out multiple betas before releasing the gold master to the general public for consumption. The main issue that people have is that they download new software to older devices. The devices are technically compatible, but the hardware doesn't work as well with the new software. In essence, apple basiclally forces you to purchase new hardware (phones). I still see some people carrying iPhone 4's and they will ***** about it not keeping a charge. No ****.
