I've watched Breaking Bad (twice), Sons Of Anarchy, and House of Cards. I tried to watch Narcos and it's good but I can't read that many subtitles late at night when I watch these shows. Any suggestions for a new good series to get hooked on would be appreciated.

i didn't see walking dead in your list so either you are following it or it isn't your thing. Longmire is a good one to try. If you've missed Better Call Saul, the first season is about to be put on Netflix.

Curent: Vikings, Man in the High Castle, Bloodlines, Fargo, Wolf Hall.
Older series you may have missed: Nurse Jackie, the Unit, Treme', Homeland, the Americans.
Also, Deutschland'83 is good but subtitles (German).

My wife made me watch The Blacklist with her, and I was surprised...

I figured, if it was on CBS how good could it be? But I'll admit I liked it, at least the first season and a half that we've made it through. It's not as heavy as some of the other ones on these lists, but it's entertaining.

If you're ever in the mood for a dark comedy, I liked Derek a lot... It's not for everyone, but it's Ricky Gervais' best acting job. It's brutal, cringeworthy, borderline depressing and hilarious. I know that makes no sense, but you'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll miss your grandmother, plus have nightmares about old ladies talking about sex.

House MD

I missed it when it came out and generally hate to sit down and watch TV shows, but my wife and I have been digging House lately. We don't even like medical shows, but love the humor in this show and Hugh Laurie seems to knock it out of the park. It's great for turning on and even half paying attention.

Other shows we enjoy are House of Cards and Game of Thrones.

James Spader makes that show. It's on NBC, not CBS. And if you've only made it through a season and a half, it's about to get heavy.

Game of Thrones is great for binge watching.

I started "Colony" on USA and it is really good so far.

"The Expanse" on Syfy has been pretty good so far, I still would like to read the books the show is based off of.

Heavy is putting it lightly, pun intended. You're about to have to start taking notes or really paying attention to Black List. In the beginning the show stood alone as individual episodes. The parts you're about to start watching all seem to relate back to previous episodes and it gets a little complicated, at least it did to me. I dont binge watch and couldn't remember back to what had previously happened in past episodes and lost interest eventually but if you keep up its really good

Another vote for Longmire and Orange is the New Black. Another one I saw on Netflix was The Killing. I think it originally aired on Fox. Bloodline is a Netflix original that I thought was ok.

It's not for everyone, but The Leftovers.

Dark, odd, and mesmerizing. Damon Lindelof will one day be remembered in the company of strange to surreal greats such as David Lynch, Alejandro Jodorowski, and Steven Soderberg.

Friday Night Lights is pretty good. Battlestar Gallactica if you like that sort of thing. Heck, go back and watch quantum leap.

I am going to second, The Shield and Game of Thrones. G.O.T. better read the books. The show misses so much you will be lost on characters for a while. Still great though.

Fargo and Justified are on my to-do list.

The Wire is amazing. Ive gone through it 4 or 5 times. I would strongly recommend it.

Sopranos is also a classic must-watch.

Sherlock. It's just phenomenal acting. Both seasons of Fargo are great too, just hard to find.

Billions looks pretty good so far

I also like Shameless, but that show is a trainwreck.

I'm liking Billions too. Love Giamatti, Damian Lewis is great and has been since Band Of Brothers, I have yet to see him in something where he speaks with a British accent. It's kind of like Idris Elda, the first time he spoke in real life my jaw dropped. How the hell is Stringer Bell British?

is one of the best shows I've seen in a while. If you like House of Cards / Breaking Bad this should fall in your genre. Look it up.

I've watched the 3 seasons three times each. Sherlock has jumped Monk as my all time favorite.

I second Man in the High Castle. I've not seen Wolf Hall but if it's a third as good as the book, then I would recommend it too.
