My father and myself did some R+D last night regarding steaks. He went to whole foods and bought 1 grass fed ribeye, 1 bison ribeye, and I already had buckhead beef's line of ribeyes at the house. All were only seasoned with fresh cracked salt and pepper and olive oil. All 3 were good looking, well marbled steaks. After grilling all 3 to med rare-medium we did a side by side. We knew the buckhead would be good. The bison was very good and kind of surprised us. The grass fed ribeye was far and away the worst. Absolutely no flavor. I'm sure there is health benefits to grass fed organic steaks but when they come to flavor they suck. Not worth the money or hype in my humble opinion.
