I don’t think he’s a half bad rebounder. Last year his defense progressed from abysmal to below average. With more time and good coaching he might have been decent with his length and springiness.
His defense was as bad as I have ever seen and rebounding was not too much better

I wonder if there would be such interest if he was tearing it up? Maybe some can post Cliff’s #’s every game as well. Don’t forget about Mawot.

Cliff is just a cog piece at Alabama. Not central to what they do. Mowat is an afterthought at BYU.

I haven’t followed Mawot since he left, what happened to him that dropped him to very little playing time?

It's a little hard to say he should have stayed and this was the right place for him when his replacement (Hayes) took zero shots yesterday and 2 against ND.

We would likely be having the same conversations about needing to get more 3pt shots but swap "GG" for "Martini/Hayes".

Actually, we did have the same conversations last year.
GG all day long and twice on Sundays. More upside, more years, more athletic

Uh, for any Pike doubters out there, although a small sample, given that the season is still young, it looks to me that Mag, GG, and certainly Cliff performed better at RU then in their greener pastures. Maybe it’s the coaching … 🤔😉

The keen talent evaluator strikes again! GG is mentally and physically weak, is shooting 20% from 3 this year (28% last year), and is a crap teammate. Martini is the opposite in all regards.
and Martini/Hayes are lighting it up.

Martini is shooting 40.9% from 3. To help you out, that's much better than 20%.

PJ is shooting 47.4% from 3. To help you out, that's much much better than 20%.

Your eye for talent is unmatched. A program should hire you so they can just to do the complete opposite of your evaluation.
Then why did Hayes barely play the last two games ? Pike is point shaving ? Load management ?

Or is it because he’s a liability?

Hayes and Martini will play plenty and contribute. Bama’s quickness was not a good matchup for those two
How’d they do against that super quick ND squad? Please remind us. Shelby recalls just 1 point between them but maybe your memory is better.

This is actually an interesting point... and I am one of those doubters but this is true.

People wish Cliff well. There is no schadenfreude for him. Mowat is a sad case. Hard to feel mad at a kid from desperate poverty that needed money and got bad advice. With GG I take full enjoyment from every missed 3 he makes, and every minute he sits on the bench.

Players don’t regress. Those other teams have better players than we did last year and are using those three differently.

Cliff’s limited role is because he isn’t any good, for example. But he started here anyway.

You think Derkack would get even half the PT he gets here at those schools? Of course not.

Isn't he starting for Bama? Why's that?

his ego so he doesn’t pout, to satisfy ‘starter’ promise and to pretend that he’s worth his NIL. If you don’t see he’s and end of the rotation player, this sport is beyond your comprehension.

I do know he's starting for a Top 10 team after receiving a reported $1million NIL but I guess Shelby know better than Oats and others who wanted him.

When you speak in the 3rd person you do realize that person is an idiot, right?

Would you mind telling Shelby

The team didn’t need three point shooting against ND as why take the ball out of Dylan’s hands when they couldn’t stop him.

Perhaps more interestingly, Griffiths' buddy Papa Kante is kind of having a breakout game against Ohio State, although he hasn't done much this year otherwise. Reuben Chinyelu has also been great for Florida.

Oh yeah, we didn’t need an extra few points. Better to keep it close and hope you pull it out in OT. Same as the next game. Nope, ride DH every game. Three pointers don’t matter.

You’ve got the idiot meter pegged at 100%. That’s hard to do. Congrats.

Hey dufus

Would you rather take the ball out of Dylan’s hands on layups (which he was driving at will) for a three point attempt that is no better than a 40% chance?

Get out of your basement and ask your daddy to go online and explain why not making 3 pointers didn’t matter at all in the ND overtime game but were critically lacking in the Bama game

Because the explanation and defense of your fantastic analysis of same ain’t cutting it.

It matters in close games, win or lose.

You just don’t get it dumb dumb. Ask your mommy to give you a lesson in probability and while you are at it ask mom to teach you why it sounds stupid talking in third person

Production matters win or lose because in real time you don’t know how many points it will take to win. 1 point combined in two games matters. It’s a problem.

DH had the same production in both games. You haven’t yet explained why lack of three pointers (and scoring) from those other two didn’t matter in the win like it did in the loss.

Sounds like you’re really saying that if Allocco made the last shot to beat us then their not scoring at all would have mattered LOL.

Out of curiosity and no animosity, was just perusing B1G scores this week. On Sunday, Nebraska beat North Florida 103-72.

Gavin played 18 minutes. 1 for 4, 0 for 2 on three pointers, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 points.
The season is 25% complete and he’s shooting .176 from 3. Yikes.
