Google it. You can do that.

And the specs are the same on paper (already stated), but decipher Cerny's presentation if you can muster it. It's crystal clear if you're tech-savvy. Otherwise, we get that you love and are devoted to Xbox. That's fine. You can be a fan of it and you're within your rights because you stuck with them for years, but don't make facts into false because you can't let go that customized hardware that was specifically made to make developer's lives better is probably going to outperform Xbox's new system. The PS5 will be the dominant hardware at launch and probably throughout the generation.

Also, tell me about the gameplay MS showed at their 'gameplay event' and how great that was because showing gameplay at a gameplay event is a requirement when you call it a 'gameplay event'. That must instill a shitload of confidence in you.
Lol the burden of proof is on you there bub. If you don’t know what burden of proof, google it, you can do that.

I’ve already googled the spec comparisons before this conversation, and as I said before, every third party source says the series X is more powerful, minus the SSD.

im not loved and devoted to Xbox. I’m a gamer, I play it all buddy. Got a switch just for Zelda. Got a game boy just for fire emblem. Got a ps4 just for god of war. I’m a gamer, not some Microsoft fanboy. But as I said before, single player games have worn on me, so right now I favor the series x because (unless you can prove otherwise) its the stronger console with more consumer friendly practices such as game pass and smart delivery.

I agree that gameplay even, or lack thereof, was a crap fest. But the only confidence in Microsoft was in their PR department because I didn’t even watch it. In general I avoid events and conferences where just the console publisher speaks and I read/watch summaries. Events like E3 and game on are what I really pay attention to.

Regardless, Both companies will show off what their consoles can do before launch, so I’m not worried and if Sony shows off a super cool exclusive I’ll probably go with the PS5. But I’m burnt on god of war and spider man so it’ll have to be that new game they had the trailer for, cant remember the name. But if there isn’t PvP then it probably won’t be a console seller me, at least at launch.

Honestly, get both. I prefer Xbox for multiplayer games (Xbox live is wayyy better than PS4's garbage online service) and PS4 for single player games (PS4 exclusives are way better than Xbox).

Assuming you've got some extra money of course.

I have a PS4 because my son, age 18 at the time, told me it was superior to the X-Box one X.

A couple of months later, he switched to the X-Box one X.

Little bastard!

I'm happy with the PS4 and I've had every PS with the exception of PS3.

I've always been a PS guy but I'm getting ready to buy a XBOX 1X I know this is probably a dumb question but going to ask anyway. Can you play the XBOX 1 games on the XBOX 1 X? I haven't bought an updated system in a while but I'm going to get rid of my PS3 and Super Nintendo and I can't get a PS4 right now.

Found this while reading a console comparison of all the Xbox consoles that answers your question.

As far as game support goes, all games play on the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. That includes access to the backward-compatible Xbox 360 library. A small selection of Xbox 360 games, including Halo 3 and Fallout 3, have even received Xbox One X updates for better performance.

I’ve always been a Xbox guy. I think the controllers are light years ahead of playstations but it’s just preference.

Xbox Controller > PS controller

I don't know how ppl find the PS controller comfortable to hold tbh. Feel Microsoft has really developed an elite controller. No pun intended.
Almost hurts to play a PlayStation for any extensive time.

the ps4 controllers use shapes and colors to tell me which button is which like I’m a preschooler. Give me the Xbox controller with its letters and colors any day. I ain’t no punk preschooler
