Sorry, but do you not realize how much STRONGER and FASTER Mayweather is than Ronda? I don't care if it was no rules, Mayweather would destroy her, and it wouldn't be close.
I am sorry, but you are very naive how clinching works. Ronda may be "slightly" weaker than Floyd in real strength, but she would more than make up for it once they clinched. She would realize the strength advantage very quickly and simply toss Floyd to the ground in spectacular fashion. It would be like Floyd boxing a high school Golden Gloves fighter. Imagine Jordan Burroughs wrestling a decent D2 guy. It would be ugly. Conor McGregor is very good in MMA because he has above average striking. His jiu jitsu is brown belt which is still pretty good. Khabib was a VERY high level wrestler/grappler who exposed Conor very easily. Ronda would tear Floyds arm off in about twenty seconds and that is not even a question.

You can't be serious resdog? Mayweather would knock Ronda Rousey out cold in less than 30 seconds if they "fought." Mayweather MANHANDLED Conor McGregor in the clinch when they boxed. It was probably the most interesting thing about that fight. Mayweather's clinch strength is insane, and he would have absolutely no problem with a woman that weighs less than him.

A lot of bluster in this thread.

It’s easy to claim how a woman would destroy someone like Mayweather in under a minute when this could never possibly happen.

At least stick to men, Res. If you want to say MacGregor would kill Mayweather in the octagon, fine. Saying that 135 pound Rousey would destroy Mayweather is baiting reserved for silly Iowa fans.

I think Crawford kind of spent him self after he knocked Kahn down in the first. He went all out to knock him out and I think it showed later in the fight. Kahn was starting to get some knocks in because Crawford was opening himself up a little. Crawford might have still knocked him out but I think he got out of his game plan.

Res should take a look at Ronda's last fight, someone who beat Rousey like a drum and did it with her fists. Imagine how much quicker and stronger Mayweather is and how his punches would absolutely destroy Rousey, just like Nunes did.

If they announced a "fight" between the two and gave them three months to prepare, I have no doubt that Floyd would train with MMA types to get a real look at what would be coming, but if Nunes beat her like she did, Floyd would just crush her. Res is a great poster here, but to suggest that Floyd is marginally stronger than Rousey, or think that any clinch would favor Rousey is a big reach. Suhreal's comments are spot on.

Now, if some average Joe at 135-140lbs who fought occasionally stepped in with Rousey, I'd say yes, she'd probably whip him. But Mayweather would flat out beat her worse than Nunes did, and I'm 100% sure about that.

I guess I can see how some people like UFC or MMA or what ever you call it now, but I just doesn't float my boat.

I do on the other hand really enjoy top level boxing. There is a reason why it is call the sweet science. Unfortunately for boxing right now the heavy weight division is kind of garbage, which hurts the sport in general. To me there is nothing better than watching a good Middleweight war. Dudes are big enough they can have some serious power, but not to big where they don't have any stamina.

Crawford is fun to watch because he probably has more power than he shows, but he kind of likes to keep guys in the fight for a while so he can just beat the hell out of them. I will give Khan credit, he took some punishment and was hanging around, don't know that the fight would have lasted much longer, but he has some seriously fast hands, use to be a lot faster.

I am pro UFC. To your point, I used to work with a legit 6th degree karate black belt. He said he could spar for 10 rounds with little effort. He said when he sparred 2-3 rounds doing grappling, he was spent and fighting in quicksand. This is the reason that wrestling/judo/jiu jitsu are great bases in MMA. Wrestlers are very happy to drag you into deep water and make you swim in the water they grew up. Ronda had pretty horrible boxing and Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes took advantage of that. If Ronda could have got close enough to clinch Holly, she would have destroyed her. Nunes is a beast with legit jiu jitsu and striking. Ronda never stood a chance verses her. Boxing is the sweet science. It is the finesse fighting sport. It is not real fighting. To your point, I am positive with MMA rules, Ronda would murder boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in about thirty seconds. She would just dive at his legs and drag him down to the ground and commence to kill him very quickly. Much like a real fight.
Yep. You're right. I like the elements/art/strategies associated with boxing more than the nature (this is what a real street fight is like) of UFC. JMO

I would like to see Khabib fight Mayweather in an octagon. Just to see Khabib ***** slap him and say "run your mouth now" like he did McGregor.
