Somehow I missed that this was a thing until someone mentioned it on here. The wife and I have been binge watching it since last night. Highly entertaining sequel series to Karate Kid. Cobra Kai never dies!
I've heard good things about that series. I've only watched Karate Kid once and never watched any of the others. But I did enjoy the original. Would I need to watch all of the movies to enjoy the series?

They did a good job with it...inserting the humor...If you have a decent memory of the first one, you’re good. They even regularly use footage from the first movie. They don’t ignore the second and third movies, but most of the references and characters are from the original one.
Because it was initially on YouTubeTV, not Netflix, so not many people saw it.

The character is great. The acting is ****. Makes sense that he hasn't done anything since Karate Kid.
