looks like NJ is right in the projected debris field when this comes crashing to earth in the next few days. Knowing our luck it will take out a 5 star recruit right after he commits to Ash or Pike

I will consider that an act of war if it falls on my property.

But seriously, who pays if that damages property or harms someone?

Well, if it was a Russian station, they’d chalk it up to being an act of god because Putin considers himself God.

Give a call to CCA... China contraction Co. They are the ones that did the Pulasky skyway rebuild.
I think they got offices in Jersey City.

Is it true our Legislature is voting today to tax any space debris that lands in NJ? I also heard if the debris lands on your property the county will get in on the act and raise your property taxes as you now have an "improvement".

Any chance the cultists to our west view this as Saint Joe being cast down from heaven, and go full Jonestown?

Nah.

That would have to be a more of a “War of the Worlds” (Tom Cruise version) thing where it comes OUT of the ground since he ain’t up there.

You just better hope it doesn’t land in your yard and make a crater just before Friday’s rainstorm, because then any attempt to fix the damage will get you a fine from the NJ DEP for destroying wetlands.

Worst case scenario for Rutgers but the bigger issue seems to be.....

Is it good for the conference?

I have the perfect target, it's easy to spot because it's big, white, and circular and in the middle of nowhere

This is more factual than you might think. My Environmental engineer told me a story about one of his clients. Guy has a farm, put in a retention pond for irrigation. DEP came out 3 years later and wanted to claim it as wetlands. They had to get past topographical maps in order to fight it. Dumb bastards couldn't even see for themselves that it was man made. Told me if I ever want to do something like this put in a liner if it's need or not.

how do you get the liner under the space station? I would think it would be pretty heavy........
