Also Caliknight, before you make fun of me for driving a Prius, let me announce that I now have a Benz. And yes I got it specifically because secretly deep down I want car nerds like RU4real et al to respect me.
He has the best words.Trump's response is so laughably embarrassing in that piece. I get not liking Clinton, but I don't understand how anyone can listen that guy talk and come away feeling like he is Presidential in any way shape or form. People thought Obama brought shame upon the US? Well, this guy will be sure to bring us to new lows. Personally, it sounds like he has some mental problems going on upstairs.
We will make the people keep voting until they make the right choice
They need to adopt the Chicago mantra of: "Vote early, vote often!"We will make the people keep voting until they make the right choice
Sounds like an instant upgrade in the respect department while driving was just had. Does this mean I can't make go cart jokes anymore?
I dunno. It's a GLA so I'm sure it's still mock worthy on some level.
The part worthy of mockery is bringing it up on a message board.
Also worthy of mockery is making fun of someone's vehicle choice if and when you're older than 19.
Also
Haha. I'm only bringing it up because Cali brings up my Prius in most arguments. Just having some fun.

They called him a fascist but you're right, never "a biased Sicilian".
I try not to make fun of people's vehicle choices, until they're suddenly blocking my passage in the left lane of the highway while not making any attempt to pass/move over. I also not try to make fun of people, until I see them driving with Obama and Bernie stickers on their vehicles. Then all bets are off [winking].
President Obama is one of the best, and certainly, one of the most popular Presidents we have ever had.
Singled handedly saved the economy, eliminated Bin Laden and Awlaki, and helped usher in an era of equality. All while his opposition mostly focused on his race, alleged religion, shut down the government, frivoulous lawsuits, shouting at him during speeches, and promising to make him a one termer, including by trying to prevent citizens from voting.
Of course, they failed, and their solution to failure was to look at someone who donated to Hillary Clinton, went into bankruptcy four times, had 3 marriages, employed illegal immigrants, took business to China, won't release his tax returns, won't pay vendors, who is racist that encourages violence and is resultingly approved by 30% of voters. After crying for 8 years that Obama was divisive, they said how about someone that mocks the disabled? Obama is a communist, but how about a supporter of socialized medicine who wants to levy 35% tariffs on foreign products?
It is unfortunate for cons that their Obama derangement syndrome will continue for decades once he is on the SCOTUS.
The only question left for the cons is will they push the teabaggers out and get serious or will they continue to be a regional party facing certain demographic death?
I joke with my kids that a Prius comes from the factory with an Obama sticker on it.I try not to make fun of people's vehicle choices, until they're suddenly blocking my passage in the left lane of the highway while not making any attempt to pass/move over. And to be fair, the worst offender in both categories consistency remains the Pruis, although I've seen some offensive Hyundais and the occasional Chevy Cobalt as well.
"Speak Bernie to me"? Now that is just creepy...
Do the redesigned 2016's come with a Bernie sticker?I joke with my kids that a Prius comes from the factory with an Obama sticker on it.
In my experience the Bernie stickers are on 80s vintage volvo station wagons.

Alongside the Dead Head sticker
Your quixotic quest to try to "convert" people to a liberal perspective is funny. People will believe what they want and retreat to their own echo chambers, whether that is Fox News, Huff Post, or whatever their taste may be. I'll be presumptive here and say that it'd be much appreciated by the rest of the board if you would stop trying to fly off on tangents and get all preachy. If you would try to keep to the theme of the rest of the board and make comments that are bitter, cynical, sarcastic, and...most importantly...short, your POV may be more welcomed.

That a purportedly educated person could see things this way is just as appalling as the extremists that such a person claims to detest. Remarkable.
The truth hurts sometimes.
Hillary up 12 points.
Texas' abortion ban struck down.
8th Benghazi witch hunt ends up with no scalps.
Rough week for you guys.
The truth is remarkable.
Please point out where I what I said was untrue. The American people spoke twice. They continually speak; President Obama has majority approval. Whom are the national Republicans with majority approval? John Kasich? Look what happened to him.
Purportedly educated? Let's see...where do college-educated voters stand on Obama? Where do they stand on your current candidate? Want to go down that road? It will get ugly, and fast. Of course, those with advanced degrees supported Obama twice. Want to talk the current election? It will get uglier. Want to chat about why those with more degrees, as shown by study after study, tend to be more liberal? How about the greatest indicator for Trump support in a county is number of people without high school degrees?
Let's hear all of the accomplishments of national Republicans in the past 8 years. Here's a starter pack: closed bridge lanes, poisoned water, shutting down schools, shutting down the government, costing untold millions, the chancellor of LSU warning football may have to be cancelled, 62 votes to overturn Obamacare, 8 Benghazi investigations, lots of "thoughts and prayers" but no laws after multiple gun massacres, countless unconstitutional laws overturned on abortion, gay marriage, immigration and voting at taxpayer expense, millions flushed down the toilet after businesses left states and continue to do after anti-LGBT legislation in states with serious poverty and job flight, a presidential debate with reference to genital size, a former House speaker sent to jail for bribing boys he molested to remain silent, earthquakes in Oklahoma, a quixotic campaign to shut down marijuana legalization in Colorado by surrounding states, at least two AGs bought off by Trump to not investigate his "university", a vice presidential candidate who thought Africa was a country whose husband was an Alaskan separatist, a Presidential candidate who said 47% of the country receiving government benefits, including seniors, and vets, are :"takers". Off the top of my head.
Oh and a presidential candidate with 4 bankruptcies, 3 marriages, who supported among other things: socialized medicine, arresting women who had abortions, 35% tariffs, not paying small businesses, banning Muslims from entering the country, having people armed in bars, a "deportation force" to expel the undocumented, and who doesn't believe in vaccinations, accused the President of being born outside of the country while never providing proof, called a judge born in Indiana "a Mexican", who claimed "thousands and thousands" in NJ celebrated on 9/11 which he witnessed, and claimed Mexico is deliberately deciding who to "send" here, among other greatest hits.
But yeah, how could anyone support the guy who actually killed terrorists, saved the economy, and expanded rights for all Americans? Yeah, I mean people with higher education usually categorize judges by ethnicity.
Remarkable. Almost as remarkable as a purportedly educated person who gladly signs up to vote for all of that, who takes time on the internet to defend it and pretend there's an equivalency between a party whose stated goal was not to fix the economy but rather to make the President a one termer, and one of the most popular presidents in modern times.
What will be most remarkable is the goose your attitude has cooked for the GOP and the electoral results it will bring you. It will be great for America though which is all that counts at the end.

Says the guy who was all in on Bernout.
This is a great example of how closed-minded people do their own views a disservice. Applying "Your ___" to others is only effective if true. I think for myself, I disagree with one political party one day, and another the next, and often times both parties at once. It's called thinking for oneself. On the other hand, the only abilities you seem to have is writing many words that say little, making false assumptions, and repeating talking points picked up elsewhere.
If that were true, you could provide an example of anything I said that was false. The media actually rarely reports on quite a few things I mentioned.
Not only that, but you're the one with assumptions- I don't watch TV news nor am I on twitter or most social media. And I don't always agree with Democrats and have condemned Sweeney, Norcross and others time and again. It was only recently that the Republicans on the board started to criticize their own, because well things have gotten that bad for them. And you go onto to say you to me. Meanwhile, if what I said was a talking point, you would easily be able to provide proof. Again, still waiting- you dove right into the personal attack and then accuse me of being closed minded.
As I said above I didn't expect the end of the world from Brexit. There would be reaction and overreaction and eventually the markets would settle out. The weekend was part of the exacerbation but I think the biggest part of it was just the surprise and most being on the wrong side of the trade. Really IMO, there was a decent chance for a selloff anyways just on the news even if they remained, it got magnified on the surprise.Amazing, no comments about how the markets are recovering from this "economic disaster" of Brexit. In a week things will be back to the way they were before the vote. Just another example of two things: 1) overreaction to things they think they don't like, even though they don't know why, and, 2) panic in the markets over uncertainty. The biggest factor in the market reaction to the Brexit vote was that it was announced on a Friday. Creating a situation where no one wanted to go into the weekend with so much uncertainty. If the announcement happened on a Tuesday the reaction would have been much more muted.
