@Snackbar1130 you always make some really good points. Please come in and put the gayhawk fans in their place

Any team that plays at the phog, is playing with one arm tied behind their backs..if you take the phog magic out of it Kansas is very beatable. Which happens quite often. I have never seen a team get protected as much in their conferance as Kansas..(except maybe two teams in N.C) only difference is when you get away from phog, tournament has too many eyes on it and you cant get away with as much...

This is such a great thread. A team whose titles rivals Florida, Louisville, UConn, Ohio State, and Cincinnati keep coming back to a topic their program's history doesn't touch.

You mentioned 100 years. If we were double the titles Kansas won in their first 118 years you'd still be at 6.

You'd be more revered? If 6 ever becomes =8 then you're correct. You make this too easy.

I'll go to bed after I finish watching the 5th place SEC team struggle with the 13th place team in a half empty arena on Senior Night.

Go ahead and go to bed. You'll still have less wins and 5 less titles than Kentucky when you wake up. When I wake up my team will still be the greatest Men's college basketball team in history. Here's another thing that will still be the same when you wake up.

Ha, we could have not won a game in our entire history and still have been much more relevant in the 100 year analysis. James Naismith... Technically, you guys are our grandkids... That are performing well at the moment

Just curious, when was the last time you guys beat us in Rupp? One of my buddies called it the new Allen Fieldhouse East last year, and I was a bit stumped as to why.

When was the last time Kansas beat Kentucky in the National Title game? You notice the theme with everything you say? Here's a hint: Regular season

Kansas could tank for the next hundred years and still be revered, just because of our first coach. Kentucky, on the other hand, would be a footnote that nobody cares about... Hope it never happens to either program, and that we have a great rivalry until the last basketball goal is standing.
Look Little Brother, Kansas is the 3rd All Time program (which is a nice feat) but UCLA is 2nd and Kentucky is King. @VanillaRilla and yourself need to understand and accept this fact.

Not to mention half of our championships have come against the Big 8/12.

Baylor, Oklahoma St., Kansas St, Kansas.

Historically we own that conference.

You do understand that Kansas only beat Kentucky ONCE in 35 years and lost 16 of the first 17 game to Kentucky in the series? In case you didn't, here's a friendly reminder:

...and you'll also still be playing home basketball in stank concrete shopping mall...named after a Kansan and Jayhawk! I'll take the every year kick-*** reg. season, Allen Fieldhouse atmosphere and the Hawks over your home court and extra titles any day - no question whatsoever. Any sane basketball fan would. Since I've been following the Hawks in the mid-80's we've averaged a Final 4 every 5 years. Give me the Bradley's, VCU, Northern Iowa, Stanford and the Bucknell's if you can tell me we'll be in the tourney every year and reach a final 4 20% of the time. Dude, you lost in the first round of the NIT in recent years...at HOME! KY ain't all that so yea, you're a full on kool-aid type of low IQ BB fan.

Are we sure that 95-150 is correct, I’ve never seen that type of spanking, that is like 150 shades of grey.
Once again, Lil' Bro:
22-9 head-to-head
8 titles to 3
All time winningest program in NCAA history.
Kentucky is Cadillac, Kansas is Oldsmobile
Kentucky is Lexus, Kansas is Toyota
Deal with it.

I hope they keep coming back. It's funny seeing them tout regular season games and seeing how embarrassed they are by their program's history.

LOL at the guy who's team crapped out to Robert Morris in the NIT. What's it like playing in the NIT BTW?

Didn't realize that happened I was too busy keeping up with the Jayhawks sexual assault cases. Go find Self's toupee and rock choke gay hawk back to your nest.

You do realize that's how a National Champion was crowned back then, right? By your logic, college football should ignore all championships awarded to teams prior to the 2014 playoff system. Kentucky fans and low BB IQ go hand in hand I guess.

If we counted all those titles we lead over everyone. Kansas basketball players and sexual assault go hand in hand and I'm not guessing.

14 straight feels pretty damn good, I'll say that! No, seriously, what's it like playing, and losing, in the 1st round of the NIT? [roll]

We don't celebrate or throw parades for conference championships. We do however beat teams in the championship game that run out of time. Cop out much. Go find that toupee.

I can't believe all the people who are actually "participating" in this thread.

You do realize it's the equivalent of an Internet D!ÇĶ Measuring Contest? EXCEPT, you're measuring other dudes' junk to brag and boast about as some sort of reflected glory to bask in.

No one here is directly responsible or contributed to any of the teams mentioned, or their historic successes and accomplishments.

However, thank you for the amusement of watching a group of mostly grown men I would assume, line up for their chance to whip out their ruler & size up other's accomplishments to see who's resume is more endowed for you to fawn & slobber all over.

Carry on... .

modern era of basketball and close to when I was born. Don’t give a **** about the 70’s and earlier.

An idiot is someone who bases all time programs off of national championships. Again, so UCLA is the greatest program of all time? Funny no one answers that now.

So you need a history lesson. Well you came to the right place. Yes greatest is based off of national championships not conference titles or consecutive appearances. Anyone can make an appearance, but only a few can be the life of the party.

So UK was the elite program by far along with Duke in 90's....why cut off from 2000 on?

So UCLA is the greatest program of all time then right?

I agree KU is 6th best program of all time (not true but nothing to be ashamed of) if you agree that UCLA is the greatest program of all time. Just using your same logic. I agree with neither of that last sentences and would rank UCLA at 5.

Dan Dakich last night said Duke, UNC, KU and UK are the 4 best programs of all time. Any rationale basketball person would agree with that. I think Dakich is sort of a clown but he’s right about that. However he was wrong about who he said was the best (Duke/UNC)
I agree with you on all of this. I think we would agree that UK is #1.

I also don't think that KU is doing illegitimate things on an institutional level that others aren't.

That being said, you guys have had more bozos and delinquents on your rosters over the last decade than the other blue bloods (unless you count illiteracy as a moral failure, in which case UNC has you beat).

Also, hanging your bread titles next to actual banners with no differentiation is stupid.
