Where I think Cincy did get screwed was the play earlier in the 4th quarter where the officials gave KC a do-over play (called off one play due to clock issue). KC picks up first down on next play on defensive penalty. That KC drive ultimately stalled, but who knows what would have changed in terms of time & field position.
That he was. But it's not like Ossei threw him to the ground. As I saw it, incidental contact and a flop. No flop, no flag.
Being a 7th round pick, I don't think Pacheco makes that much money, relatively speaking. Yet he has such a big role on the team.
The OOBs penalty isn't even debatable. That will be called every single time.
Doesn't the NFL have a bonus pool for rookies who way outperform their salary?

They were blowing the play dead regardless of the outcome…bad optics for the officials, but didn’t change anything since a positive play for KC would have also been called back.
I agree that the flag was not an egregious injustice. It could have been called. But I didn't think it had to be called. And in that situation, unless a call HAS to be made, you don't make it IMO.It's not debatable by reasonable football fans. --Just kidding!!

Watched replay five times, admittedly all from the same angle. Yes, there was contact out of bounds. A rule book penalty. But it seemed minimal (at least from that one angle). Mahomes felt the contact and went down. No fall, no call.

Sure but the play being blown dead was not noticed by anyone on the field (other than the ref who called it miles away) and both teams put forth max effort in a play that was undone. Really bad job by the officials. You do not want a situation where officials give an MVP and Super Bowl winner (Mahomes) and extra play after Cincy thinks they’ve stopped him and forced a punt.
Yup. If the Chiefs made a touch down on that play, it would not have counted and KC would be upset instead of Cincinnati. It was odd though, not a single player heard the whistle.
except that the shove was a yard out bounds and he did go down. but other those minor details, ok it was a bad call.
but how was the actual play, Ms. Lincoln ?
A QB gets that call 100 times out of a 100. It's how the game has been officiated for years.

The officiating was atrocious today, and particular the late game. You can debate the late hit call all you want - there was an egregious hold and two blocks in the back on Moore's punt return.
I've seen a lot of atrocious roughing the passer calls this season. This wasn't one of them.
Mahomes was clearly out of bounds and the guy clearly had every reason to know it.
Not talking about the qb hit- the non calls on kc the do over the 2 tickytack pi calls. Refs were too involved let the Fing guys play
All players who are on the active 53-man roster the Sunday immediately preceding the conference championship games will earn $65,000, up $6,000 from last year. Pach is in a good spot. Andy doesn’t run his RBs into the ground before the rookie contract expires. Hopefully KC does the right thing and give him a nice bonus or bump next year. I might have to replace my Priest Holmes Jersey with Pach’s.

The Bengal player has been playing football all his life and sideline awareness and feel is built into him.

Add me to the list of those who don't agree with you. If there WAS a "flop" as you say there was, I don't think that's what drew the flag. It doesn't necessarily look like a cheap shot, but the flag needed to be thrown.

Ever get pushed at full speed with humans and a bench in your path, not to mention a bum ankle?
There were 3 huge calls in the early game that massively affected the game.
1. Smith clearly dropped the 4th down pass.
2. The punt clearly hit the wire overhead.
3. Purdy's fumble was recovered and would have been returned, perhaps for a TD, but was blown dead.
Those aren't even things like holding or PI. Those were just blatant misses.
