The CIncinnati Red Stockings were Baseball's first all-professional team and was 81-0 between 1869 and into June of 1870 before losing to the Brooklyn Atlantics in front of 20,000. But before their last season together ended, they were defeated by the Chicago White Stockings 10-6 on September 7, 1870 who were so thrilled that......
"A full report was given of coverage of the the White Stockings’ defeat of the Red Stockings resulting in a celebration in Chicago with a parade including the players who wore diminutive red stockings from the button holes of their shirts and the carrying of a broom marching through the streets."

And for good measure the White Stockings kicked the Red Stockings in the pants again on October 13th by a score of 16-13.
