This news is terrible! Unfortunately, this type of incident is becoming the new norm. God, help this world. In a Texas church shooting , WTF is wrong with people
I’ve never owned a gun in my life but **** like this makes me rethink if I want to start to carry one.
Can you imagine sitting there helpless as you watch some fvckbrain ******* picking off people in your CHURCH ?
SMFH .......
We have a cop at my church and he carries concealed to church just in case. I was asked if I would and at the time I did not see a need for it. Since then we had a mosque built beside our church and were some what harrassed by the people who attended the mosque and now this makes me reconsider carrying to church.I’ve never owned a gun in my life but **** like this makes me rethink if I want to start to carry one.

One thing is certain with your scenario and I don't give a flying fu*k who disagrees: Cowardly acts like this one in the Texas church would end up with less innocent people dead. Criminals are NEVER going to follow the rules/laws anyway, that's what makes them criminals.
Law abiding & legally armed citizens could make the idiots who are considering a cowardly act such as this one at least "think twice" about going through with it and that may end up being all it takes to thwart an attacker. Nobody who does crap like this is looking for just one or two victims OR worse for them, possibly zero AND if the right person (law abiding) is there the criminal runs the risk of his plan not working. Again, nobody who considers cowardly acts like these wants to end up failing.
Do they wear tin foil hats at your church ?We have a cop at my church and he carries concealed to church just in case. I was asked if I would and at the time I did not see a need for it. We have several people who are carrying in church plus security in the lobby. It's sad but it's true.Agree. It's sad that good people may have to start packing heat in church, but it is coming to that. I know that I carry much more than I used too. Fortunately, it is easy to get a CCW permit in PA.

While having 100 people per killed is terrible I bet if you removed people from that number that were involved in criminal activity like gangs it would be a lot less.people don’t change, the the fact that many now cary machine guns has changed. The truth is every day on average 3 times that many are killed by guns in America, about 100 per day. It’s very simple logic. I am not saying it’s wrong or right that people should have these weapons but if you allow them then this is the price you pay so don’t act surprised when people use them. I’m actually more surprised this doesn’t happen more often.
JFTR YOU Don’t need to reply to any of my post. I don’t give a **** what you think . Yep, definitely sad....That really is sad to think about.
Mature of youI will continue to respond to any post I want to and will make sure I respond to more of yours in the future.
Why attack me instead of the person who for no reason attacked me to begin with?Mature of you
A mature national partisan discussion resulting in tangible legislation on the purchase and distribution of military semi automatic weapons is long overdue. We can't legislate morality. We can perhaps legislate laws to reduce or mitigate impact of singular or collective actions in violent events without damaging purity of 2nd amendment.
you are correct. it was the wrong time, place and thread to bark at you. my anger towards what happened was misplaced. Why attack me instead of the person who for no reason attacked me to begin with?
You cant buy autotmatic weapons now. Laws wont stop criminals.Don't know the details, but assume some time of military assult weapon must have been used to kill 27 and injure 20+ more people. In my opinion weapons with large magazine clips and rapid fire have no place in today's society and only military/law enforcement should own these. Lot's of push back from NRA and lovers of these types of weapons, but sad to say this carnage is the new norm in the good ole US of A. These types of killings will go on and on Very sad
My current pastor knows that I carry, and is cool with it. The church I went to before approached me to specifically request that I carry because they knew who I work for.
Every time I walk in, I hope I don't have to turn a church into a crime scene.
I understand and have no problem with you. I thought I would point out I am not replying to annoy you but only to acknowledge what you said.you are correct. it was the wrong time, place and thread to bark at you. my anger towards what happened was misplaced.
1. The number of drug deaths would undoubtedly be higher if all drugs were legal and more widely available.Let's outlaw guns because we made narcotics illegal and it's done such an amazing job. No more drug use in this country since we made cocaine, heroine, and numerous others illegal.
Let's follow that sparkling example. It really deterred drug dealers and junkies.
Because sensible partisan legislation is something that criminals will definitely respect and honor. That Clinton ban on AR 15s was just so effective that we should jump right back into prohibition. History has proven that prohibition works!
1. The number of drug deaths would undoubtedly be higher if all drugs were legal and more widely available.
2. National gun buyback programs in Australia & Canada have reduced the number of mass shootings in each country to a total of zero since they were enforced.
3. You can repeat any number of talking points re: guns but it is a fact reducing the number of guns available to the public is absolutely correlated with a drop in gun deaths. Nobody is saying gun deaths would stop, especially in a nation that has more guns on the streets than people. It would, however, reduce the sheer number of gun deaths.
4. Just say "I like guns and I don't need another reason." That's a more believable thing to say than "gun buybacks and prohibition don't work." /endrant
It doesn't, because that's not true. Plenty of German citizens had guns during Nazi rule.Well, since they know so much about Hitler, they should know that he infamously stated that the first step in comandeering a country's population is to disarm it ...
If you're into logic and historical fact, I'm sure that will make sense to you.
The Nazis adopted a new gun law in 1938... It deregulated the buying and selling of rifles, shotguns and ammunition. It made handguns easier to own by allowing anyone with a hunting license to buy, sell or carry one at any time. (You didn’t need to be hunting.) It also extended the permit period from one year to three and gave local officials more discretion in letting people under 18 get a gun.
...In short, Nazi-era Germany imposed greater gun restrictions for Jews (and other perceived enemies) at the same time it loosened gun restrictions for other groups.
Let's outlaw guns because we made narcotics illegal and it's done such an amazing job. No more drug use in this country since we made cocaine, heroine, and numerous others illegal.

In what way is this thread worthless? It's bringing light to a dark act and can actually start dialogue to a solution if the whole Democrat Republican ******** was left out of it. We are not political pawns we are humans and it's sad we can't even get out of our own way.It doesn't, because that's not true. Plenty of German citizens had guns during Nazi rule.

This whole thread is kind of useless in a way & gun owners shouldn't be worried. Not a thing will change.
I phrased what I said poorly. I meant people who talk about trying to change gun laws are wasting their breath. Nothing is going to change legislatively and these events only serve as a reminder that we're the only first world country where this regularly happens. In what way is this thread worthless? It's bringing light to a dark act and can actually start dialogue to a solution if the whole Democrat Republican ******** was left out of it. Let's legalize murder. The anti-murder laws are clearly not working. Same thing for pedophilia, rape, jaywalking, speeding and embezzlement.
I think you're really onto something here.
