Watched video of Tiger during today's pro am. I was in the doubters club when he came back but I just saw about as perfect and effortless a golf swing as I've ever seen. I don't know if he'll ever contend in another major but he's going to win on tour again.

Went to rhe Titleist performance center and got fitted. Great experience. Do it if you can. I went with the AP1’s. Love them.

Do they try to steer you to TM clubs? There is one by me but thought they only fit TM equipment.

I'm not really surprised at Tiger's resurgence because Saturn has moved to the exact degree of his Sun at birth.Saturn rules Capricorn,so these people generally thrive when Saturn reaches this sign.He's not going to be the 1990's Tiger,but his play should be more consistent.

The last time Saturn was in this sign,1988,I had Danny Jackson in a pitcher's win pool my friend got me into.Jackson went from a 9-18 season to a 24-7 season.Alas,my other pitchers let me down.

This is why I'm cautiously optimistic over what Ash will do the next three seasons.

Typical of what you see from an aging athlete. Inconsistency. Hopefully for the Woods fan boi's he will be able to keep it together in one of these lesser tournaments and get a W. It's going to be hard, and near impossible for a major.

Saw Michelson at The Bridges on Wed. thought he looked like he was hitting it pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised to see him stick around for a little while at Augusta if he can keep that up. His game and swing are more timeless than Tiger's though.

I believe there is only one Titileist Institute, which is in Oceanside. There may be another in Florida. They don't try and persuade you to buy Titleist, at least not in any hard sales way. You are getting fitted with Titlest clubs though. They simply give you the "prescription" and you can take it wherever you want and use for whatever clubs you want. I simply liked the AP1's a lot so got those. I tested some Mizuno's that I liked a lot too. Almost got those.

I have been hearing the Calloway Epic's are pretty awesome. If I was in the market for a new set, I'd definitely check those out.

I've been a 9-10 for the past couple of years. I just don't seem to hit them consistently well.

From what I've seen they are more lofted than the standard lofts for modern clubs which means I tend to hit them a bit shorter than I would expect - this sometimes makes me overswing and throws off my game.

I'll give them most of this year to make a final decision.

While I hate to make the same mistake again - the AP3s have a reputation of being longer hitters - which would solve my perceived problem.

IIRC you're a former RU lacrosse player so you probably have good hand/eye coordination and as a surfer very good balance. Sounds to me like you have some real pluses going in. That is unless you have Charles Barkleyitis lol.

Lol, no my swing is pretty fluid. At least compared to Sir Charles. Like most people who take up the sport, just really inconsistent. My putting has somehow gotten worse, so going to work on that exclusively tomorrow in my lesson.

Golf, like most sports, is just one of those things you have to do often to get better. I plan on playing much more in the near future.

What? Now you want odds? I’m losing all respect for you at this point. Wasn’t much left to begin. He is in his 40s with 3 back surgeries. Other guys would’ve been in the announcers both already.

Mostly agree. The last 2 tourneys he looks as good as all of the top players.

At this point I would not bet against him winning any tourney he plays in. And I’m a Tiger hater.

Tiger in the top 5 again. 2nd week in row. Nice leaderboard with McElroy (playing well !) Rose, and Stenson. He's hitting the ball as far as the younger guys too. Masters will have record ratings, with a healthy Tiger playing well again, Phil coming off a win, Johnson (w Gretsky in tow) playing great, and all the other story lines.
