Wonder if he’s implying a possibility given the struggles TT had on offense this year….advisor to the HC or assistant HC?

Darren Rizzi is a really good guy. He was on Gregs first staff at RU and was a huge recruiting force for those early years. He has made a really nice career as a special teams coach. Probably 15 or more years as a ST coach.

West Virginia: Rich Rod is circling the wagons. Just days after announcing Rick Trickett's return as offensive line coach, today Rich Rod is announcing the hiring of Chance Trickett as director of player evaluations. Chance has served as a college scout for the Rams for the past ten years. Chance' brother Travis is currently on staff at WVU, serving as senior offensive assistant and his other brother Clint recently became quarterbacks coach at Arkansas.

Missouri: Former Clemson offensive coordinator Garrett Riley is set to join the Missouri staff sources tell FootballScoop Riley's role is to be determined. ( an offensive assistant, according to post this is in reply to,)

UMass: Former Bowling Green offensive coordinator Max Warner has accepted the offensive coordinator position at UMass.

Liberty: Liberty head coach Jamey Chadwell was diagnosed late this past Summer with a serious but treatable medical condition. At the time, a medical plan developed by doctors determined the best course was to have the treatment done after the season. Earlier this week, we are grateful to report that he underwent a successful surgical procedure to address the condition. Following his recovery and prior to the start of spring practice, Coach Chadwell will resume his regular duties in leading the Flames Football program.

It’s honestly the only real option at this point. No one wants to work under him.
you might be close, but if no one wants to work under him: why do a lot of them return to the scene of the crime.?
By the way, it wouldn't surprise me if Robb came back to work under Schiano as the STC before Greg is gone

No other options. Said it last year when we were in this same position. Though the game has seemingly passed Greg by on the defensive side, he's the best option option to be the DC. Doing what he did last year wasted a few million, and doing something similar this year will yield the same result.

Oregon: Dan Lanning has now officially named Chris Hampton defensive coordinator and Drew Mehringer offensive coordinator.
(Drew might be one that moved up too fast in the coaching ranks and now with more experience is ready for prime time as an OC.)

Newly selected Nebraska Wesleyan (D-III) head coach Jacob Donohoe is making a splash with his first hire with the Prairie Wolves.
To fill his defensive coordinator spot, Donohoe has tabbed Brandon "Bear" Earp as his new defensive coordinator.
At just 22 years old, Earp will be perhaps the youngest coordinator in college football, at any level.
(Wondering if in a few years we’ll be hearing about “Bear” being interviewed by a P-4 program and being considered for an OC position).

Boise State: After a season on staff as pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Zak Hill has been announced as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Syracuse: Bowling Green special teams coordinator Alex Bayer is expected to take the same job at Syracuse, sources tell FootballScoop.

Football Scoop reported this hire, but couldn't find it so googled the info:
Former Rutgers standout offensive lineman Zack Heeman was hired as the new Offensive Line Coach for the Presbyterian College FCS football program in January 2026, transitioning from his recent role as an assistant OL coach at Wisconsin to lead the Blue Hose line under new head coach Matt Rahl. Heeman, known for his Big Ten playing and coaching experience, brings significant expertise to the FCS level after playing nearly 30 games for Rutgers and being a standout academically as a Campbell Trophy semifinalist

In the third year of his five-year deal worth $5.8 million annually, earning a base salary of about $1.1 million, Sawvel not only donated $125k of his earnings back to the program in the form of revenue sharing, but he also handed over a good portion of his retention bonus totaling an additional $100,000 to ensure the retention of some key staff members.

Why, how much Deion Sanders will fine Colorado Buffaloes players

Sanders, warning players he'll call their parents to come observe practice "so they can see who you really are," also is outlining Colorado's fine structure for the coming season.

With players legally making more money than at any previous point in collegiate athletics, Sanders also is implementing what appear to be some of college football's steepest fines.

Consider, per Sanders, the following penalties, several of which are at or more than $1,000 per violation:

» $2,500 fine for "No show to practice"

» $2,000 fine for "No show to meeting or film session"

» $1,500 fine for "No show to strength and conditioning workout"

» $1,500 fine for "No show to treatment"

» $1,000 fine for either being late to therapy treatment or strength and conditioning workout

» $2,000 to $5,000 fine for "Public or social media misconduct"

» $1,000 to $2,500 fine for "Violation of team rules (based on severity)"

Sanders also cautioned his players against the use of profane language or what he deemed as disrespectful treatment of the females in and around the Colorado Buffaloes football program.
