when Kingsbury gets canned by the Cardinals, he can run to Saban for a job...
KK has said he doesn’t plan on coaching college again. If that’s true or not who knows but a lot of coaches don’t like the recruiting part of it.

If he’s fired and does go back to college, I’d wonder if he might not end up back in Texas at A&M as OC. Fisher is looking for an OC and KK would be a boon for them. He’d probably have to recruit less there as the dollars will do the talking and recruiting for them.

TAM is looking at Lincoln Huard and i don't think they will wait much longer..

Huard, 43, was an offensive analyst under Fisher at Texas A&M for three seasons starting in 2019. He also has play-calling experience as a coordinator, having previously served as OC for Illinois State (2009-12), Georgia State (2013-16), and Sacramento State (2017-19).

Huard, a former quarterback at North Carolina, is the younger brother of former University of Washington and NFL quarterbacks Damon Huard and Brock Huard. During his college days, Luke Huard threw for 256 yards and one touchdown against two interceptions in seven games during the 1999 season under coach Mack Brown.

Looks like it will happen. Didn't know the explosive play stat.

He would have been a terrible fit at Rutgers.

Our late-arriving crowds would not like such a high number of explosive plays. First, there would be the complaints about excessive train horn noise. Second, people would be complaining that they missed the explosive plays because they arrived late or were stuck in a concessions line. Blessing in disguise Rutgers passed on this guy.

Just for 💩💩💩s and giggles, who would be the current “NJ Coaching Legend” that would be considered as an infield coach at Rutgers?

Hell how about which current “IT” HS coach would be considered for Rutgers?
🤷‍♂️ College coaches I follow a little so have a little bit of a clue. I have no clue about high school coaches or even most NFL (don’t watch the NFL anymore) coaches if they weren’t in college before that.

maybe Steve Spurrier Jr. might be willing .
He was a co OC under his dad at USCe, but can't say if it was because of nepotism
or not.
But after there never a OC or CoOC.
From what I gather he's a good WR coach and good at handling QBs, both parts of the game RU needs to improve .
Also maybe Sr. could unofficaly give pointers to improve what he sees the RU O needs , if Jr asks him..

Interesting comments from Brohm on his taking the Purdue job years ago:

"Even when I took on the Purdue job, 90 percent of my colleagues told me not to take the job. That’s what intrigued me even more. As I took that on, I said I was going to help this program get over the hump and achieve its goals. We were able to find a way to go to a bowl that first year and win it."

Brohm took the Purdue job on Dec. 5 2016- about one year after Ash took the RU job. Wonder if Brohm was on the long or short list back in 2015 for the RU job?
His comments are ironic considering he declined to even interview with Hobbs, choosing instead to stay at WKU for another year until the job everybody told him not to take opened up. Babers too declined to interview for the job at that time and took the 'Cuse job a week later.

Four years later all we could muster was failed retreads like Butchie and tire kickers like Big Bert, who was only interviewing to keep his severance package from Arkansas. Kind of like when you're on unemployment and you have to list 3 places you tried to get a job in the last two weeks.

This was a name I've brought up some years ago as one to watch when he was with Leach at WSU. He's got some more years under his belt now with Leach. I know some have brought it up again here recently during our OC search. It'll be interesting to see how he does at Tulsa with Wilson.
