I’m not sure I agree. That may be his scouting report, and may have even been true a couple years ago. But the guy I see on the floor today is fast, agile, and bouncy. He runs faster than the guards, dunks with ease, and blocks way more shots than I anticipated. He’s also become a consistent mid-range shooting threat, and has even led his own fast breaks.Love Oscar but he’s probably a 2nd round pick. He’s a beast but he’s also a below the rim big man which doesn’t really exist in today’s NBA. Sounds crazy but it might be best for him to come back for one more year and develop a more consistent outside shot and ball handling/passing skills. If UK can find a way to get him NIL eligible, might not be that far fetched.
And a steal at that!Perfect 5 in today's NBA. He'll be a mid to late first round pick.

Just not sure I agree he has become a consistent mid-range shooter. That said, it would not surprise me at all if he were drafted first 1st round just based on what they’ve seen so far.I’m not sure I agree. In other words, I see him 100% as an NBA player, and I think the scouts do too. The mock draft people just haven’t caught on yet.
Seriously
So all these toothpick skinny bigs like Cauley stein are top 10 to mid first rounders but a guy with a motor and body like that and a face up jump shot to 17 feet you imagine are second round?
If that is the new nba then there is the problem
He won’t be a first round pick, he will be late second. The game has changed to much, hell Enes barely touches the floor these days and can score and rebound with the beat when he plays. Oscar plays better D.
He’s definitely not a leaper, and I don’t know how anyone who has watched him could claim otherwise. He’s an undersized center without a lot of ball skills. The jumper shows promise, but he’s gotta be wide open.I’m not sure I agree. That may be his scouting report, and may have even been true a couple years ago. But the guy I see on the floor today is fast, agile, and bouncy. He runs faster than the guards, dunks with ease, and blocks way more shots than I anticipated. Definitely agree with him needing to improve his handling and shooting.. but as much as I’d want it to, it doesn’t necessarily need to be at UK. Along with his natural abilities and size/strength, His basketball IQ and ability to read the play and the ball on missed shots are enough to give him a shot in the NBA. Add his footwork and the touch on his shot he has a lot of NBA potential, especially as he develops a 3 ball. The fallacy that you have to be an above the rim player in the modern NBA needs to go. Big men that can’t shoot and only play above the rim are fading out.Love Oscar but he’s probably a 2nd round pick. He’s a beast but he’s also a below the rim big man which doesn’t really exist in today’s NBA. Rodman was a world class athlete. The top 1% of pro athletes. Oscar may be the top 1% of people in general.IMHO Oscar is a nba first round player. With his improvement the short time he has been at uk he has improved leaps and bounds from where he was. His motor is unreal and he can guard 1 thru 5. Anyone remember D. Rodman
So was Barkley. He worked out pretty well. Or more recently Draymond Green.Love Oscar but he’s probably a 2nd round pick. I concur, Enes is not good on the defensive end, but he is a better scorer and they rebound about the same. It was a shame we didn’t get to see Enes show his domination in the season/tournament.Enes is a horrendous defensive player and can’t be out on the floor if the other team is going to run pick and roll. Not a good analog to Oscar, imho.
Charles Barkley was not a below the rim guy! For a 6’4” guy that played power forward he had ups..So was Barkley. He worked out pretty well. Or more recently Draymond Green.
Both learned how to shoot also in NBA.
Yes his shot has improved. Nice arc too. But you don’t draft him to shoot jumpers. You draft him to get missed jumpers and kick back out to your shooters. I see a playoff team like GS to take him late 1st round to get Curry and Thompson an extra 4-5 shots per game.
Enes is doing his rebounding against NBA players. We don't know how Oscar will do in the trees. All of whom are super athletic and long.I concur, Enes is not good on the defensive end, but he is a better scorer and they rebound about the same. It was a shame we didn’t get to see Enes show his domination in the season/tournament.
No Way on earth Oscar is an NBA player. He dunks with ease you say, he's been blocked by the rim on multiple occasions all year and misses often from a foot away. I love him don't get me wrong, just being honest here.I’m not sure I agree. That may be his scouting report, and may have even been true a couple years ago. But the guy I see on the floor today is fast, agile, and bouncy. He runs faster than the guards, dunks with ease, and blocks way more shots than I anticipated. Wanna bet on Oscar?I think he's gone and will be drafted in R1, along with TyTy.
Dear Lord, Comparing Oscar to Rodman is flat out comical.IMHO Oscar is a nba first round player. With his improvement the short time he has been at uk he has improved leaps and bounds from where he was. His motor is unreal and he can guard 1 thru 5. Anyone remember D. Rodman
Oscar couldn't even get a shot off in the league. Come back to reality. He has trouble getting blocked by the rim and often takes 10 seconds to try and get his shot off in college, he's a dead man in the paint in the NBA. But if you think different that's ok.Definitely agree with him needing to improve his handling and shooting.. but as much as I’d want it to, it doesn’t necessarily need to be at UK. Along with his natural abilities and size/strength, His basketball IQ and ability to read the play and the ball on missed shots are enough to give him a shot in the NBA. He may not be an NBA star, but it the most NBA centers aren’t in the NBA for their above the rim play.
Wanna bet on Oscar?
Absolutely. What's the wager? I watch the NBA all the time, Oscar may get him a 10 day contract or something but he's an overseas guy. I'll bet ya anything you wanna bet he's not a first rounder.I know this wasn't directed at me, but judging off your comments, especially the response to @DerekMcPwn , you don't watch the NBA. So I'd love to take the bet if you're willing. I'm pretty sure most owners are thankful you don't scout for them either
Develops a 3 ball????? hahahahahahahahahahaeahaha. I'm sorry but that statement is all I need to know about your basketball knowledge.Definitely agree with him needing to improve his handling and shooting.. but as much as I’d want it to, it doesn’t necessarily need to be at UK. Who is comparing them just pointing out thats how Oscar seeks out rebounds as wellDear Lord, Comparing Oscar to Rodman is flat out comical.
