That's just testing going slow, right? It's not really dropping off that sharply?

Testing reporting is probably down for a few days because of the 3rd and 4th. Tuesday's numbers might be more telling.
Hopefully there's still not a jump in numbers.
If they are down because of people not reporting on the holiday that means when they catch up, the day they report will have more than they would have had if the cases were reported on time. So Tuesday will be bloated with extra cases like the holiday was less Right? (Not a comment or argument just a real question.)
Most primary care offices were closed Friday-Sunday. Many were closed Thursday as well. We will see toward the end of the week if it's a trend. Hopefully it is.less than 300 hundred the day before, right after record highs.

That hasnt been updated since Saturday.I'm no doctor but while it's an initially positive sign, I'd like to see the number of hospitalizations and folks in ICU decrease.

Actually Mississippi hasn't been testing that many more. Our rate of positives is 13% and climbing.Depends on who you are listening too. When folks say that cases are going up due to an increase in testing then the Coronabros all say "that's not true it's more than that". But when you say that cases have trended downward over a couple of days the Coronabros say that it's because "reduced testing".
So...number of tests only count depending on what your motives and beliefs are at this point.
I went fishing with a Dr buddy of mine this weekend. Thursday he said his little clinic in Hattiesburg tested over 400 people in one day. That was the biggest number they had done so far. He said the majority was people coming in without symptoms, but just want to be tested.
Has there been another event in our history where people who weren’t sick wanted to be tested at these levels? Seems really odd to me, and I just don’t think I would get tested unless I was showing symptoms.
Was just about to ask why the heck anyone would want to get tested if they're not having symptoms or been directly exposed to someone with the virus.
Is the primary means of testing still the q-tip jammed into your brain? My MIL had to have a test before she started her radiation treatments and all she had to do was blow her nose and then they just went a little ways in. Wondering if that is the new norm or not.

Just saw earlier on news that positive cases nationwide in the last 6 weeks are up like 113%, but deaths are down 39%.
