I appreciate your consistency, but I think we both know that most don't / won't feel this way.
Well in all truth if Frost has those results, we will know our program is dead and most will be numb and say let him ride it out for awhile. But i stand by my statement anyway.
And I disagree with "most". I think most know it wont happen, because it wont.

Wrong. What we're "demanding" is less hypocrisy from posters like you.

You: Riley needs to win NOW!
Also you: Frost needs time!

You: Riley had a terrible season he needs to be canned now!
Also you: If Frost were to have a bad season he needs to be given more time.

You: Riley is a terrible coach. No one's fault but his own.
Also you: Frost is super coach, but if he has a bad season it's Riley's fault.

You: Riley missed on a recruit. What is Riley doing? Riley is terrible.
Also you: Frost misses on a recruit. This is fine!

Get it?

You: Riley needs to win NOW!
He did need to win right away. He was inherited a 9 win team and he wasn't a popular hire. He needed to win to gain the respect from fans. He failed to do so. The fans that said "Riley needs to win NOW" were ultimately right. Notice he no longer coaches at Nebraska. He coaches a minor league football team now... The moment after he was hired, he literally went directly on coacheshotseat.com top 10 and never went down, only up. Hell, he was on the hot seat at Oregon State. Scott left UCF on amazing terms. Riley left Oregon State on shaky ground... But besides all of the facts, many people still gave him a chance. I did not give him blind faith and for a reason.

Also you: Frost needs time!
Frost does need time. He needs to clean up the mess Riley left. Maybe if Riley had followed a coach similar to Riley, some more would have said Riley needs time...

You: Riley had a terrible season he needs to be canned now!

Redundant. You already stated this above. So please see above.

You: Riley is a terrible coach. No one's fault but his own.
Mike Riley is a terrible coach. 19-19 record at NU & 2 out of 3 losing seasons. 1-6 in his last 7 games last year. And it wasn't even that, 5 of 6 of those games were blowouts. He was a nice guy but soft. He made his team soft. Softest husker team in my lifetime. Hell at least when BC went out, he beat the crap out of K-state for one last push. Riley's teams showed no life.

Also you: Frost is super coach, but if he has a bad season it's Riley's fault.
Redundant much? Worse part about it, it may be a none issue. I highly expect this to be a none issue. May be Frost doesn't win them all next year, but we won't be blown out by 5-7 Minnesota team that failed to score another point all year after they played us...

You: Riley missed on a recruit. What is Riley doing? Riley is terrible.
Riley could not miss on recruits. He needed a finished product to come in as a freshman. He sure as hell wasn't going to develop enough talent to have a complete team nor did he put stock in accountability in S & C. He was basically walking a tightrope and yes he was terrible.

Also you: Frost misses on a recruit. This is fine!
Scott Frost will develop a team. He won't be made or broke by a single recruit.

Get it?
We live in a different world now then we did on December 4th, 2014. If things seem unfair or hypocritical to you, grow up.Life isn't fair.

Is it fair that Cody Bellinger wasn't hitting for the Dodgers nor was Chase Utley but the dodgers kept starting Bellinger and have given Utley fewer bats? No. It's about upside, future, and youth. Just like Riley and Frost.

There is so much wrong with this post I don't have time to go through it all and pick it apart. This post also showed hypocrisy or double standards that I was talking about so thanks for proving my point.

You have different standards for each coach. That's fine, but when you hammer Riley on one issue and Frost failed on that same issue, you give him a pass. That my friend is a double standard and you're too stubborn to just admit it.

I’ll agree to disagree with you on this. Not stubborn I honestly believe it. In my opinion and I think many people’s opinion, Scott comes to Nebraska with a good credit rating while Riley did not. Be it because Scott won a title for us @ QB, he’s a disciple of TO, or he’s coming off of great season @ UCF, he has trust while we didn’t have that Trust in Riley.

I’m sorry, I just believe there is value in that. I can give you a million examples where that occurs in the real world and it’s not a double standard. I respect you as a poster and I’m sorry my last post didn’t reflect that. I’m just going to have to disagree with you on this.

Do you read this forum? There are a bunch of posters that just hope we get to 6-6 so we get the extra bowl practices. When Riley went 5-7, there were people saying we shouldn’t go to the bowl because we didn’t deserve it. The difference is substantial.

Reverse the schedules of the teams and you might find different results.

Frost team this year would have won more than 5 games against Riley schedule in 2015...

No road games with Ohio St & Michigan and get Wisconsin, Northwestern and Iowa at home that is huge, ya Miami Fla would have been difficult but so is playing 5 B1G road games.

This thread has gone off the rails....post being talking about double standards. "If Riley failed in one are and Scott did to but there treated differently yes that's a double standard" geezus Frost haven't even coached a down in the big 10 yet we want to see how people will compare coaching. Yes Scott played here yes he won a Natty here. But even with his those ties to the university he was still the most highly regarded hire and young coach in the game. Let's let him lead this program before any comparisons are made.

I appreciate the response. Really I don't think we're that far off from one another as it seems on this board. I'll admit, my writing skills don't always come off like I want them to.

The thing is, it really doesn't matter because Frost will do much better than Callahan, Pelini and Riley (and long term, Solich). We may not see it this year or even year 2, but I expect year 4-5 on, Nebraska will be back in the discussion as a top program year in & year out.

Great post. Agree on all points.
