If the season ended tonight, I say yes.
Valentine has missed time and Simmons is on a mediocre team. Hield has the numbers and team success backing him.
I think Kris Dunn is the best player. Watch him sometime. He's fairly identical to John Wall. Eeerily similar watching them play.
And OU is up there, but Kansas is still the better team imo. OU played their tails off last night, but as someone said each game is different. They also were fortunate to beat Iowa St at home the game before (Monte Morris missed a wide open 3 with 6 seconds left that he usually makes and would have done it).
And as for last night's game, I thought they were beneficiaries of some highly suspect calls at teh end of the half and regulation with phantom fouls on Hield. And needed 46 out of him to be there. That's 13 more than he's ever scored. Him and Woodard played as well as they can play, and wouldn't necessarily duplicate that again. Although Cousins didn't shoot it as well as he is capable.
That's the problem with OU for me. They rely on 4 guys to do all of the scoring. They have zero depth, and as such, have a smaller margin for error than some other teams like Kansas, etc, that have guys that can step up on given nights. I also don't think OU's defense is consistently good. Think it's because of the lack of depth in that they have to conserve energy and avoid foul trouble.
